Back in the 1980s, one of the firearms I purchased was a Ruger 10/22.
The Ruger 10/22 is a rifle that takes ten rounds of .22lr ammo and is a semi-automatic (meaning, you have to just pull the trigger to fire a round without having to cock or pump a round into the chamber). Back before wacko anti-gunners decided to limit the quantity of rounds a magazine could take, one could buy magazines that could hold 25 or 50 rounds before reloading.
The Ruger 10/22 is considered an appropriate rife for beginners or just fun plinking. It is a fun rifle to use even if one is more of an experienced shooter.
I bought my Ruger 10/22 for $89.00. Now, they go for about $200.00
I saw an advertisement tonight on a new version of the Ruger 10/22. It is the Ruger 10/22 Takedown.
What is a Ruger 10/22 Takedown? It has the basic features of the Ruger 10/22, except this one has a detachable barrel.
I looked it up online and found a website that reviews the Ruger 10/22 Takedown. It has a lot of advantages that the older versions don't have (such as easier to clean and transport).
To see a review on the Ruger 10/22 Takedown (they give it *****), go here.
