When I initially was going to post my review of the Oasis Cafe, Motel and RV Park, I found that not only was Juntura, Oregon (the town in which it is located) not in the RV Park Reviews database, the RV park itself wasn't listed.
So, I had to get the administrator to first add the town so that I can post a review of it. Interestingly, there are no listings for the town or RV park in the Good Sam RV park and campground directory.
Today, the review has been posted at RV Park Reviews. This is the first time a RV park or campground had been added by me.
In a nutshell:
This is an older RV park. It is part of a business that includes a restaurant, gift shop and motel. The restaurant has excellent food and all are family-run. The town is so small that you could practically blink and pass it without seeing it. Nice people. It is on Highway 20 between Burns and Vale, Oregon. The restaurant is a popular stop for truckers. The RV park was a welcome sight after a long, but beautiful drive from Vale.
The campground itself is small. The access road is primarily one "horseshoe" gravel road with campsites on both sides. The campsites are grassy and kept well-watered. The sites are mainly back-in with some pull-throughs. There is a shower but it is hard to find as it was not clearly marked. Tall trees surround the perimeter of the property.
The electrical hookups (30 amp) appeared dated, but they worked. The sewer connections are "T" shaped with several outlets. There were no amenities to speak such as a dog run, Wi-Fi or playground. I was unable to get cell service in the area. The campground was quiet at night despite being next to the highway. The green grass made the campground attractive.
This is a good campground for an overnight stay. We camped at Oasis Cafe, Motel, and RV Park in a Motorhome.
