Proving once again that mass shootings aren't just a phenomena of the United States, a shooter yesterday opened fire and killed three and wounded several others. Oslo, Norway recently had a mass shooting on June 25 by an Islamic terrorist.

According to Fox News:

Authorities say the shooting incident in Denmark, where a gunman opened fire at a busy shopping mall in Copenhagen, leaving three people dead and at least three others injured was not terror-related.

The gunman likely acted alone and fired indiscriminately at random shoppers, Danish Police said Monday, the day after the shooting.

Copenhagen chief police inspector Søren Thomassen said the deceased victims included one Russian and two Danish citizens. The victims included a man in his 40s and two "young people," he said.

Thomassen said the suspect, identified only as a 22-year-old Danish man, was arrested at the scene and that the incident was not an act of terrorism. 

Since Asya is in Copenhagen, I checked with her to see if she was okay since one of the deceased was a Russian. She replied that she is in the countryside and thanked me for checking.

How 9/11 Changed Air Travel

One week from today, it will be 20 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the U.S.

As the attacks were carried out by using airline planes as weapons, drastic security changes at the nation's airports were implemented and they are still with us today.

My first trip to Japan was a month later in late October 2001. At that time, the airports had National Guard soldiers stationed in the terminals. My mom told me that travelers had to be at the airport four hours before boarding. Well, that was unnecessary, as it turned out. So I spent over three hours in the United Airlines terminal at LAX bored stiff. LAX was almost like a ghost town in the terminal.

At least the rest of the trip went well (even despite getting a 24-hour flu bug while there) and I attended the Tokyo International Film Festival's premiere screening of Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.

Japan Today posted an article on how 9/11 changed air travel and how we have more security and less privacy.

They start it with:

DALLAS - Ask anyone old enough to remember travel before Sept 11, 2001, and you're likely to get a gauzy recollection of what flying was like.

There was security screening, but it wasn’t anywhere near as intrusive. There were no long checkpoint lines. Passengers and their families could walk right to the gate together, postponing goodbye hugs until the last possible moment. Overall, an airport experience meant far less stress.

That all ended when four hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

The worst terror attack on American soil led to increased and sometimes tension-filled security measures in airports across the world, aimed at preventing a repeat of that awful day. The cataclysm has also contributed to other changes large and small that have reshaped the airline industry — and, for consumers, made air travel more stressful than ever.

Two months after the attacks, President George W. Bush signed legislation creating the Transportation Security Administration, a force of federal airport screeners that replaced the private companies that airlines were hiring to handle security. The law required that all checked bags be screened, cockpit doors be reinforced, and more federal air marshals be put on flights.

There has not been another 9/11. Nothing even close. But after that day, flying changed forever.

Al-Qaeda Terrorist Leader Arrested In Phoenix

According to Right Wing Folks:

Federal law enforcement officials arrested an alleged Al-Qaeda terrorist leader in Phoenix, Arizona, late this week on murder charges filed by the Iraqi government. 

Ali Yousif Ahmed Al-Nouri, a 42-year-old Iraqi national was “wanted to stand trial in Iraq for two charges of premeditated murder committed in 2006 in Al-Fallujah,” the Department of Justice said in a statement. 

An Iraqi judge issued an arrest warrant for Ahmed and subsequently requested Ahmed’s extradition from the United States. 

“According to the information provided by the Government of Iraq in support of its extradition request, Ahmed served as the leader of a group of Al-Qaeda terrorists in Al-Fallujah, Iraq, which planned operations targeting Iraqi police,” the DOJ added. “Ahmed and other members of the Al-Qaeda group allegedly shot and killed a first lieutenant in the Fallujah Police Directorate and a police officer in the Fallujah Police Directorate, on or about June 1, 2006, and October 3, 2006, respectively.” 

The DOJ noted that the decision to extradite him to Iraq will ultimately be made by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. 

The DOJ statement did not mention when or how Ahmed entered the United States.

Trump To Designate Mexican Drug Cartels As Terrorist Groups

President Trump announced that he plans to designate Mexican drug cartels as "terrorist groups". 

Thus far, the Mexican government has done little or nothing to eradicate the cartels.

The New York Post reported:

President Trump said he plans to designate Mexican drug cartels as terrorist groups and “start hitting them with drones.” 

“I don’t want to say what I’m going to do, but they will be designated,” Trump told former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly in a radio interview Tuesday. 

“I will be designating the cartels . . . absolutely. I have been working on that for the last 90 days,” he added. 

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador responded Wednesday, saying, “Cooperation, yes, interventionism, no.” 

The leftist leader noted that he asked Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard to set up talks with Washington. Ebrard said he was “already in communication” with Team Trump.

Mick Rich, a Republican primary candidate for U.S. Senate for New Mexico, noted:

The Mexican government has failed to stop the drug cartels, yet Ben Ray Lujan [Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate] wants open borders. That’s a dangerous combination. As your next U.S. Senator, I will treat drug cartels as terrorists. I take your security seriously.

Lujan's cousin, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, opposes the construction of the U.S.-Mexico border wall.

Saudi Attacks Will Hurt At The Pump...In California

If the gasoline taxes in California by the Democrats (and stupid people who voted to keep them) aren't bad enough, the recent attacks in Saudi Arabia will make Californians feel the price pinch even worse.

AOL posted:

NEW YORK, Sept 15 (Reuters) - U.S. motorists most likely to feel the hit from rising gas prices following the attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil facilities are on the West Coast, which accounts for nearly half of all of U.S. crude imports from the kingdom. 

The attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil facilities on Saturday knocked out more than 5% of global oil supply and sent oil prices surging as much as 20%. 

U.S. pump prices are likely to rise in coming days as gasoline futures spiked by more than 10% on Sunday trading, analysts said. The national average price of regular gasoline was currently $2.57 per gallon, according to AAA. 

However, California motorists, some 8,000 miles (13,000 km) away from Saudi Arabia, could be hit the hardest. Refineries in that state rely heavily on imports for supplies due to its isolated location and lack of pipelines to connect it with oil-rich states such as Texas.

San Francisco Board of Supervisors Declare NRA A "Domestic Terrorist Organization"

The leftist lunatics of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors has passed a resolution declaring that the National Rifle Association (NRA) is a "domestic terrorist organization".

Instead of dealing with real issues, such as human feces and syringes on San Francisco's sidewalks, the "Board of Lunatics" did this instead.

KTVU-Fox 2 News reported:

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - The city of San Francisco has formally adopted a resolution calling the National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization. 

San Francisco's Board of Supervisors on Tuesday took the step of officially declaring the nation's premier gun-ownership advocates a terrorist organization. 

District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani wrote the scathing declaration reading in part, "the National Rifle Association spreads propaganda that misinforms and aims to deceive the public about the dangers of gun violence."

The NRA responded:

The NRA responded with a statement reading in part, "This ludicrous stunt by the Board of Supervisors is an effort to distract from the real problems facing San Francisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse and skyrocketing petty crime, to name a few. The NRA will continue working to protect the constitutional rights of all freedom-loving Americans.” 

I guess that also makes any member of the NRA a "domestic terrorist" as well. It is amazing that these kooks get elected to public office.

It is sad, but not surprising, that the terrorist who mowed down and killed eight people and injured others in Manhattan yesterday was admitted into the U.S. through a liberal "diversity program".  All courtesy of Sen. Chuck Schumer.

President Trump ripped Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) in an early morning tweet Wednesday for his role in an immigration program that the man suspected of carrying out Tuesday's terrorist attack in New York City entered the country under. 

Sayfullo Saipov, who was shot and is in custody after driving a truck through bicyclists and pedestrians in New York, entered the United States in 2010 from Uzbekistan under a program that gives visas to people from countries with few immigrants to the United States.

"The terrorist came into our country through what is called the 'Diversity Visa Lottery Program,' a Charles Schumer beauty. I want merit based," the president said. 

Of course, liberals like Schumer hate it when they are called out for allowing someone into the country to cause terror.

Terrorism In New York

A suspected terrorist was arrested after being shot in the ass after mowing down and killing at least 8 people in New York City today.

The New York Daily News reported:

At least eight people were killed Tuesday afternoon when a speeding Home Depot truck plowed down riders on a Lower Manhattan bike path in a terrorist attack, sources said. 

Eyewitnesses told police the driver yelled “Allahu Akbar!” — Arabic for “God is great!” — after running down helpless riders from behind, their mangled bodies left scattered behind his runaway rental truck. 

The Middle Eastern man was arrested after police shot him in the rear end following a Tribeca crash between the truck and a school bus. Sources said he was waving an air pistol and a BB gun when cops reached the scene.  

The truck jumped the curb near Houston St. at 3:04 p.m. and began bearing down on the unsuspecting bicyclists, sources told the Daily News. Video showed crumpled two-wheelers and four bodies left in the vehicle’s deadly wake.

VICE Magazine Tweets: Calling For Blowing Up Mt. Rushmore

We live in very strange, and dangerous, times.

The Left in this country are totally out of control. They belong in lunatic asylums.

The latest is a Tweet from the leftist rag, VICE, who calls for the blowing up of Mount Rushmore. This is right out of ISIS's playbook. Some unhinged idiot just may act on this and damage it and other national monuments.

PJ Media reported:

On the same day as a deadly incident in Barcelona that police have confirmed as a terrorist attack, a tweet published by VICE (whose website PJ Media will not link to in this post) called for blowing up Mount Rushmore.

Here's the Tweet that PJ Media copied before VICE removed it:

It is getting to the point where good citizens have to be on the alert for suspicious people who may want to do harm to our monuments and possibly cause death or injury. If I were to see someone attempt something, that person will be immediately knee-capped and their hands broken. Or worse. This is something that none of us should put up with.

Then there's a report of a Missouri state senator (a Democrat) who said she "hopes" President Trump gets assassinated. Another deranged idiot!

Yamanote Line To Get Security Cameras

The JR Yamanote train line that encircles central Tokyo will soon be installing surveillance cameras in its trains.

According to Japan Today:

Tokyo - East Japan Railway Co (JR East) said Tuesday it will introduce security cameras on trains running on Tokyo's Yamanote loop line to enhance security. 

The railway operator will introduce the cameras on 550 train cars starting in the spring of 2018, completing installation by 2020 in time for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, it said. 

The installment of the cameras is expected to cost around 2 billion yen ($18 million), according to the company. 

"Crimes and nuisance are becoming noticeable on trains. (Security cameras are) necessary to prevent terrorism as well," President Tetsuro Tomita said at a press conference, adding train cars on other JR East lines are planned to be equipped with surveillance cameras.

One host of CNN, the Counterfeit News Network, Reza Aslan Tweeted something that was not very polite (from The American Mirror):

Attack On London Bridge

The Sun reported:

A GANG of five terrorists drove a van into pedestrians at 50mph on London Bridge before attacking revellers with hunting knives.

Up to seven people were feared dead and 20 hurt in the 10pm attack – amid a second ‘attack’ at nearby Borough Market which armed police are responding to. 

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed a third incident in the Vauxhall area after tweeting “you must run, hide and tell.” 

Staff at a packed pub in London Bridge locked the doors as the gang tried to smash their way in. Witnesses saw one man stabbed in the chest five times.

Here we go again. This has the indicators of a coordinated ISIS attack, but it is still too early to know for sure.

If that is the case, this is another warning to the idiotic liberals and their court toadies that we have to secure our borders and allow the lawful travel ban executive order by President Donald Trump to halt the influx of people from countries who may wish to do us harm like this to be put into effect.

This is another argument in favor of an armed citizenry.
