RFK Jr.: CBDC Financial Slavery and Political Tyranny

Above, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

There comes the beginning of the loss of our financial freedom unless we stop it.

I have blogged about the pitfalls of a digital currency system before.

CNBC posted on March 15:

The Federal Reserve’s digital payments system, which it promises will help speed up the way money moves, will debut in July.

FedNow, as it will be known, will create “a leading-edge payments system that is resilient, adaptive, and accessible,” said Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin, who is the program’s executive sponsor.

The system will allow bill payments, money transfers such as paychecks and disbursements from the government, as well as a host of other consumer activities to move more rapidly and at lower cost, according to the program’s goals.

Participants will complete a training and certification process in early April, according to a Fed announcement.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. posted a response to this yesterday. I don't see anything in what he said to disagree with.

Caroline Kennedy ought to award her cousin a Profile In Courage Award for speaking the truth of this scheme.

Remember (Source: American Patriot Poll):
The 'digital dollar' puts all your money in the hands of the government.

They'll be able to....
  • Know what's in your accounts and what you buy
  • Limit what you purchase and the causes you support
  • Take everything away with the click of a button

Will Economic Freedom End In July?

Above, Admiral Kirk and cashless society in the 23rd Century. Paramount Pictures.

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) touched on being a cashless society in a scene between Dr. Gillian Taylor, the marine biologist, and Admiral James T. Kirk in the 20th Century pizza restaurant.

Dr. Gillian Taylor: Don't tell me you don't use money in the 23rd Century.

Kirk: Well, we don't.

It would be nice if things today would be nice and benign as the 23rd Century (where the adventures of the starship Enterprise take place) where governments can be trusted in a cashless society. But, given the power-hungry politicians and Deep State bureaucrats who are now in charge of the federal government, it would take away our privacy, not to mention one's freedom.

This is the topic in an article today in the American Thinker.

They begin it with:

The scene is as old as history.  An individual fleeing persecution wants to cross a border. His or her life depends on being able to bribe a border guard, with some fungible valuable item: whether gold, cash, silver, diamonds, etc. Life depends on it.

If the trade is prevented, then all hope is lost.

From the dawn of time, currency was the one thing that governments had difficulty tracking.  I am not considering checks, bills of credit, something written. Those are easy to trace. I am  talking about real currency. Currency in one’s hand, cash pressed in the flesh.

Bribery was always the province of the dishonest, but it often became the last resort of the honest: a war refugee wanted to cross a border before an invading army swoops in, a Jew wanted to evade a Nazi patrol, an Irishman wanted to get out of Ireland one step ahead of the Crown’s authorities.

Cash became the vehicle of freedom.

So what happens when that option is removed… by digital currency? What happens when fungible cash is made null and void?

Long-awaited Fed digital payment system to launch in July -- CNBC

The government is already trying to track gun store purchases through credit card business classification coding. (When this plan came to light, the backlash started. Others advocated using only cash to buy guns.) This hasn't been implemented due to the outcry. If this plan is fully implemented, gun purchases can be traced and the government could use that data to confiscate those guns.

COINage Magazine

COINage
magazine has been around since 1964. I (or my dad) used to pick up copies at the local liquor store (along with comic books) back in the late 1960s and the early 1970s.

I recently subscribed to it and the first issue arrived today. It started out as a quarterly, but now is a bi-monthly magazine. It is now published by Beckett Media.

In looking through the issue, there are some articles that caught my attention. One in particular is an article on digital money. My quick scan of the article found that it echoes a blog post on crypto currencies I posted last November (The Federalist blog originally caught my attention to problems (including trust) with crypto/digital currencies).

Another article that caught my attention was coin collecting of Star Wars. I wasn't aware there was such a thing as Star Wars coins. Well, you learn something new everyday.

Along with articles, the magazine includes "The COINage Price Guide" of U.S. coins. That should come in handy. I am presuming that the Guide is a regular feature.

Elite’s Obsession With Achieving Total Financial Control

The government would love nothing more than to control everything we say and do. That also includes how we spend our own money and where we do.

We've seen how under government pressure Obama's "Operation Choke Point" pressured banks into  closing accounts and/or reducing services to lawful businesses including firearms dealers, payday lenders, coin dealers and businesses in other targeted industries.

From American Banker:

Operation Choke Point was real, and it exceeded legal limits. Overwhelming evidence, in the form of more than 900 pages of newly unsealed emails and depositions, proves government officials illegally targeted lawful businesses in an ideological crusade based on personal disdain.

Operation Choke Point was ended by President Trump, but His Fraudulency is trying to bring it back.

The elites, as Money Metals Exchange points out, have an obsession of achieving total financial control of everyone's money. This is a direct attack on liberty, pure and simple.

They begin with:

Federal bureaucrats use proxies to stifle all kinds of activities they don’t like. The “Twitter Files” are revealing this tactic to a new wave of Americans, but it has been around a long time.

The bureaucratic assault on the First Amendment is part of a larger movement to end personal liberty. The ultimate goal may be to assume financial control over the populace through implementation of a central bank digital currency (CBDC).

If officials can replace the existing currencies with digital, programmable money, they will claim the power to dictate if, when, and where individuals can spend money as well as what they can spend it on.

Those who question whether forces inside the federal government are actually pursuing such power may wish to review recent history around the Federal Reserve note "dollar."

Project Cedar: The Plot To Destroy The U.S. Dollar

Above, dollars as we know them today. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

If you dismiss the notion that elections have consequences, especially stolen ones, then you're sadly mistaken.

The power elites in Washington, along with several banks, are plotting to devise a new dollar, one that they fully control. It involves digital currency.

Breitbart reported:

On November 15, 2022, several of the world’s biggest banks agreed to a shocking new plan — one that could lead to a complete overthrow of the U.S. dollar as we know it.

Sponsored by the New York Federal Reserve, participants in this plan include banking giants like Wells Fargo, Citigroup, HSBC, and Mastercard, just to name a few.

The pilot program — dubbed “Project Cedar” — would convert regular U.S. dollars into a brand-new type of dollar, which could have massive implications for all American citizens.

But “Project Cedar” is just the second step in a complete overhaul of the U.S. banking system.

The first step was announced on March 9, 2022, when President Biden signed Executive Order 14067.

This Executive Order gave legal provisions for this new U.S. dollar and could give the U.S. government unprecedented control over your money and freedom.

This Executive Order gave legal provisions for this new U.S. dollar and could give the U.S. government unprecedented control over your money and freedom.

In fact, it could even pave the way for things like:

  • Legal government surveillance of all U.S. citizens
  • Total control over your bank accounts and purchases
  • And the ability to silence all dissenting voices for good

NO On Phony and Paper Currencies, YES On Precious Metals

Above, the reverse of a Morgan silver dollar (AU grade). Photo by Armand Vaquer.

A post at The Federalist blog yesterday on "The Dangers of a Cashless Society & Solutions" got me to thinking that given the high inflation (Bidenflation) we have now, digital "money", crypto currency and bitcoins, etc. is not the right way to go, but investing in precious metals (gold and silver) as I have been doing is the right way to go.

First of all, gold and silver are tangibles and more stable than paper and phony currencies. Right now, silver is trading at $21.24 per troy ounce. It is a lot more affordable than gold for the average person. Precious metal investing is a great hedge in case other investments go to shit.

SD Bullion has an article on crypto, "How To Lose $15 Billion in Crypto in 10 Days?" which should give one pause about investing in crypto. I suggest reading it!

It starts with:

Last week, it was impossible not to stop and stare in awe at the still floating but sinking dumpster fire in the cryptocurrency market in 2022. As the second largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, FTX imploded and filed for bankruptcy.

 As The Federalist posted:

I say bring silver and gold coins back for every day transactions. Like crypto, silver and gold coins are untraceable by the corrupt Big Brother Police State.

For thousands of years Men and Women exchanged untraceable gold and silver coins for goods, services and labor.

Digital "money" is all about POWER over others. The last thing the Elites want is a return to a metal based economy where people can conduct their private business privately away from spying by Fascist governments.

RV Travel Poll: Some National Parks No Longer Take Cash To Enter

Above, an entrance gate to Yosemite National Park. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Some are saying that we have an over-reliance on credit and debit cards. Some are also saying that "digital currency" is the wave of the future.

Both are lousy ideas as the corrupt government can control and spy on people through such transactions.

This doesn't affect me since I have my lifetime national park Senior Pass, so I don't have to pay anything.

RV Travel has noticed that some national parks are no longer accepting cash at entrance stations. They have a poll posted asking if this is a good or bad idea.

They begin it with:

We’ve been noticing that more and more places aren’t accepting cash anymore. Are you finding this true where you are, too? Even some National Parks have said goodbye to cash and are only accepting payments in the form of credit or debit cards.

If you pulled up to an NP booth wanting to pay your entrance fee in cash but they turned you away, how would you feel about this? Is it a good idea or a bad idea? As always, please feel free to leave a comment after you vote. Thanks!

Biden Wants To Create Phony Digital Currency

When I first heard of Biden's plan to create phony digital money the other day, I was going to blog about it here. But Gary at The Federalist blog has it all presented out better than I could.

Here's a part of what he posted:

Phony Digital Biden Bucks

.

With digital "money" Big Brother government will just add zeros to the bank balances of their supporters and click "delete" on the accounts of their opponents.

(The Rutherford Institute)  The government wants your money.

It will beg, steal or borrow if necessary, but it wants your money any way it can get it.

Because the government’s voracious appetite for money, power and control has grown out of control, its agents have devised other means of funding its excesses and adding to its largesse through taxes disguised as fines, taxes disguised as fees, and taxes disguised as tolls, tickets and penalties.

No matter how much money the government pulls in, it’s never enough, so the government has come up with a new plan to make it even easier for its agents to seize Americans’ bank accounts.

Make way for the digital dollar.

With paper money abolished
prepare for hyperinflation

In an Executive Order issued on March 9, 2022, President Biden called for the federal government to consider establishing a “U.S. Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).”

Similar to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, CBDCs would also be a form of digital money, but there the resemblance ends. If adopted, CBDCs would be issued by the Federal Reserve, the central banking system for the U.S. government. One CBDC digital dollar would equal the value of a physical dollar

And like the physical dollar, which ceased to be backed by gold more than 50 years ago, the CBDC would be considered a government-issued fiat currency that is backed by the strength and credit of the U.S. government. (Of course, that’s not saying much considering that much of the time, the U.S. government operates in the red.)
