WH Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Reveals USAID Waste

Above, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Elon Musk certainly has his work cut out for him in rooting out governmental waste of U.S. tax dollars. He's only just begun.

That is the subject of an article in The Gateway Pundit. The targeted agency, USAID, has wasted our tax dollars in foreign countries. It was revealed by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

They include:

• “$1.5M to advance DEI in Serbia’s workplaces.”

• “$70k for a production of a DEI musical in Ireland.”

• “$47k for a transgender opera in Colombia.”

• “$32k for a transgender comic book in Peru.”

The article began with:

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt busted out the receipts this afternoon, sharing just how the US Agency for International Development (USAID) spends taxpayer dollars. And what she revealed will leave your blood boiling.

During a short press conference outside the White House, Leavitt responded to woke critics who have thrown tantrums over X owner and DOGE Chairman Elon Musk and President Trump daring to take an ax to one of one of the most corrupt agencies in America. As TGP readers know, USAID is a foreign aid agency that many see as a front for CIA activities.

While speaking to reporters, Leavitt held up a sheet of paper as she read off four outrageous examples of government waste USAID was responsible for. The Babylon Bee could not make up what she unveiled.

“Here’s the reason why Elon Musk and others have been taking a look,” Leavitt said while holding up a sheet of paper. “If you look at the waste and abuse that has run through USAID over the past several years, these are some of the insane priorities this organization has been wasting money on.”

It is great that this abuse has been found out and exposed. Remember, that's OUR money, folks!

Government Shutdown Averted Until Nov. 17

Above, Mesa Verde National Park will be open for eclipse watchers. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

The impending government shutdown has been averted, at least for 45 days.

According to the Associated Press (via AOL):

WASHINGTON (AP) — The threat of a federal government shutdown suddenly lifted late Saturday as President Joe Biden signed a temporary funding bill to keep agencies open with little time to spare after Congress rushed to approve the bipartisan deal.

The package drops aid to Ukraine, a White House priority opposed by a growing number of GOP lawmakers, but increases federal disaster assistance by $16 billion, meeting Biden’s full request. The bill funds government until Nov. 17.

The national parks will remain open. Some, like Mesa Verde National Park, will be open for eclipse viewers on October 14.

Kennedy To Testify On Censorship and Weaponization

Yesterday, I received an interesting email from the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. presidential campaign. He is to testify before a House subcommittee this morning on censorship and weaponization of the federal government.

His testimony should prove to be interesting.

Here's the email:

Dear Armand,

We’re excited to announce that tomorrow morning, July 20th at 9 a.m. Eastern Time, Mr. Kennedy will testify at a House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government about the federal government’s disturbing role in censoring American citizens.

RFK Jr to Testifiy on Censorship in Congress

Mr. Kennedy’s testimony will contribute to the pushback against the rampant collusion between government agencies and tech platforms to censor speech that does not align with the interests of the Washington establishment.

Statement from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on tomorrow’s hearing:

“Recent revelations in the Twitter Files and Missouri v. Biden show how deeply institutionalized government censorship has become. “It is dressed up in euphemisms like, ‘working with our partners in tech,’ but make no mistake, this is a systematic program to control what Americans can say and think. As such, it is antithetical to democracy. In a democracy, the people tell the government what to think, not the other way around.”

Yesterday, 102 Democrats signed a letter asking that Mr. Kennedy be disinvited from the hearing. Quite ironic to censor someone testifying at a hearing on censorship. The hearing might make interesting viewing! You can watch the livestream here.

Freedom of speech is the foundation of democracyIf you believe in the First Amendment, please chip in to make sure that this vital Constitutional right is passed down to future generations.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is one of the most censored American voices of our time. Take a moment to watch his important testimony tomorrow morning and share this email with anyone you know who cares about the issues of censorship, free speech, and democracy.

Sincerely,

Team Kennedy

The Struggles At The U.S. Mint

Mint's profitable products. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

For those who collect or invest in gold or silver, the U.S. Mint is a source people should look into.

Strange as it may seem, the U.S. Mint is one government department that actually is turning a profit for the government. That wasn't always the case.

Yahoo! Finance has posted an article on the trials and tribulations the Mint went through in the 1990s to get to where it is today.

They begin with:

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Currently, the U.S. Mint strikes around 10 billion circulating coins each year, making it a profitable operation for the government. However, that wasn't always the case. This week on U.S. Money Reserve's "In Conversation," 35th Director of the U.S Mint (1994–2000) and U.S. Money Reserve President Philip N. Diehl and 38th Director of the U.S. Mint (2006–2011) and U.S. Money Reserve Senior IRA Strategist Edmund C. Moy discuss the challenges at the U.S Mint in the 1990s.

Project Cedar: The Plot To Destroy The U.S. Dollar

Above, dollars as we know them today. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

If you dismiss the notion that elections have consequences, especially stolen ones, then you're sadly mistaken.

The power elites in Washington, along with several banks, are plotting to devise a new dollar, one that they fully control. It involves digital currency.

Breitbart reported:

On November 15, 2022, several of the world’s biggest banks agreed to a shocking new plan — one that could lead to a complete overthrow of the U.S. dollar as we know it.

Sponsored by the New York Federal Reserve, participants in this plan include banking giants like Wells Fargo, Citigroup, HSBC, and Mastercard, just to name a few.

The pilot program — dubbed “Project Cedar” — would convert regular U.S. dollars into a brand-new type of dollar, which could have massive implications for all American citizens.

But “Project Cedar” is just the second step in a complete overhaul of the U.S. banking system.

The first step was announced on March 9, 2022, when President Biden signed Executive Order 14067.

This Executive Order gave legal provisions for this new U.S. dollar and could give the U.S. government unprecedented control over your money and freedom.

This Executive Order gave legal provisions for this new U.S. dollar and could give the U.S. government unprecedented control over your money and freedom.

In fact, it could even pave the way for things like:

  • Legal government surveillance of all U.S. citizens
  • Total control over your bank accounts and purchases
  • And the ability to silence all dissenting voices for good

What's Happening With Durango Train Lawsuits

Above, the Durango train at High Line. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

It seems like the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is being picked on by bullies.

They are involved in two lawsuits.

The first is a federal lawsuit by the government over liability for the 416 Fire that took place in 2018.

According to the Durango Herald:

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and the U.S. government are scheduled for trial more than two years after the government first filed its case seeking $25 million in damages for the 416 Fire.

U.S. District Judge Robert Blackburn ordered the 10-day jury trial for May 2-13 in a yet-to-be-determined location. It marks the third time the trial has been scheduled since 2020.

Next, a lawsuit between the railroad and La Plata County over the use of Rockwood Station and the County's land-use codes.

The Journal reported:

Whether La Plata County has authority over the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad through its land-use code remains an unanswered question.

The Colorado Public Utilities Commission will decide the next steps in a lawsuit filed by the D&SNG and its Florida-based parent company American Heritage Railways Inc. against La Plata County arguing the county has little control over its use of the Rockwood station as a point of arrival and departure.

Lawyers for D&SNG and American Heritage Railways filed the lawsuit in May asking a judge to bar the county from issuing fines or other means of enforcement after county officials sent the railroad notices that the expansion and growth of its Rockwood station were not aligned with the county’s land-use code.

“The county lacks jurisdiction to apply its land-use code and regulations,” attorneys for D&SNG wrote in the lawsuit.

“The county lacks jurisdiction to apply its land-use code and regulations,” attorneys for D&SNG wrote in the lawsuit.

“DSNGR/D&SNG is regulated as to its facilities and services by the PUC and the regulation of public utilities involves a matter of statewide concern which precludes interference by the county,” they wrote.

The county petitioned the PUC in August asking the regulatory body to clarify its own jurisdiction and the authority of the county, and the PUC agreed to take the case.
