Silver is now over $52/toz at COMEX.

Here's something new that I haven't seen before.
It is a Dracula silver round by the Intaglio Mint in Colorado. It contains 1oz of .999 fine silver.
According to SD Bullion:
With immortal popularity, Count Dracula has been featured an uncountable number of times in pop culture since Bram Stoker’s novel was released in 1897. That includes the Vintage Horror Series of Silver Rounds from the Intaglio Mint. Dracula is often regarded as the first vampire and is an iconic character in fictional literature creating the legend of vampires in the horror genre. With a striking depiction, Dracula Silver Rounds are a captivating artistic representation of a timeless character and an essential collection piece.
Because silver rounds are privately minted products, they tend to be a more accessible acquisition, with lower prices than silver coins.
It sort of looks like Bela Lugosi from the 1931 classic by Universal Pictures.
Personally, I don't collect silver rounds, but I am sure someone reading this likely does.
SD Bullion and JM Bullion are the two coin dealers I buy from the most.
I have had no problems with either company and have been satisfied with their customer service.
How do they stack up against each other?
Modest Money took a look at both and compared their products, prices and customer service. I should note that the $500 minimum order requirement of SD Bullion that the article mentions is no longer the case. It was lowered to $250 at the end of March and is totally gone now. It was temporary as the company was swamped with orders and had to deal with a backlog.
Modest Money begins their comparison with:

One of my favorite silver coin dealers, SD Bullion, has reached $1 billion in sales during a calendar year.
According to Yahoo! Finance:
TOLEDO, Ohio, Feb. 14, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time in the company's ten year history, SD Bullion reaches $1 Billion of sales in a full calendar year. Overall, the company has totaled more than $3 Billion in sales catapulting them near the top of most successful online bullion dealers.

Since the spot price for silver is down (it is currently $21.99/toz according to Monex's Live Silver Spot Price), I decided to take advantage and buy some silver coins last week.
One of which is the 2023 American Silver Eagle. I have several 2022 American Silver Eagles. This is the first 2023 I bought this year. No doubt I'll be getting more this year.
I bought this one through SD Bullion, one of the more trustworthy coin and bullion dealers.
This past half hour, I've been getting emails from coin and bullion dealers screaming that gold and silver prices have gone sharply down. Some believe this was caused by the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike.
SD Bullion emailed that gold is down 1% and silver is down 2%.
From their email:
I took a look at their sites and gold and silver are down. Gold is down to around $1,881.45 and silver is down to around $22.75.
From Golden Eagle Coins's email:
Actually, for those sitting on the fence to buy either gold or silver, this is a good time to jump on in. With the spot prices down, people pay less (even after adding in shipping, handling and sales tax).
I decided to take advantage of these savings and just completed my order. A birthday present to myself.

A post at The Federalist blog yesterday on "The Dangers of a Cashless Society & Solutions" got me to thinking that given the high inflation (Bidenflation) we have now, digital "money", crypto currency and bitcoins, etc. is not the right way to go, but investing in precious metals (gold and silver) as I have been doing is the right way to go.
First of all, gold and silver are tangibles and more stable than paper and phony currencies. Right now, silver is trading at $21.24 per troy ounce. It is a lot more affordable than gold for the average person. Precious metal investing is a great hedge in case other investments go to shit.
SD Bullion has an article on crypto, "How To Lose $15 Billion in Crypto in 10 Days?" which should give one pause about investing in crypto. I suggest reading it!
It starts with:
Last week, it was impossible not to stop and stare in awe at the still floating but sinking dumpster fire in the cryptocurrency market in 2022. As the second largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, FTX imploded and filed for bankruptcy.
As The Federalist posted:
I say bring silver and gold coins back for every day transactions. Like crypto, silver and gold coins are untraceable by the corrupt Big Brother Police State.
For thousands of years Men and Women exchanged untraceable gold and silver coins for goods, services and labor.
Digital "money" is all about POWER over others. The last thing the Elites want is a return to a metal based economy where people can conduct their private business privately away from spying by Fascist governments.

For those of you who are interested in investing in silver bullion coins, here is what Bullion Exchanges says about the Canadian five dollar maple leaf silver coin:
SILVER CANADIAN MAPLE LEAF
The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin is the most famous Canadian Silver coin minted by Royal Canadian Mint. The silver maple leaf design has been used since the first coin was produced in 1988. This design hasn’t changed much over time, even though there have been several distinct designs released for its commemorative editions. The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is the second most popular silver coin after the American Silver Eagles. Moreover, since their silver content is much higher, being made of 99.99% pure silver, the Canadian silver maple leaf is considered to be one of the most desired coins on the precious metal market. The 2022 Silver Canadian Maple Leafs offer good liquidity and value. It is widely one of the most preferred choices for Precious Metals IRA savings. Mostly due to its innovative bullion security features: the radial lines light-diffracting background pattern, Bullion DNA, and the micro-engraved leaf privy mark with the last two digits of the mintage year.

The other two 2022 Canadian Maple Leaf five dollar silver coins I ordered arrived today.
As I mentioned before, on one side is the maple leaf and on the other side is a profile of Queen Elizabeth II. As they were minted in the year of her passing, it should increase their value in future years.
Here's the coins and where I bought them from:
