Tokyo Tourism Information Offices

Above, the tall buildings of Shinjuku as seen from the observation room of Tokyo Tower.  Photo by Armand Vaquer.

The Metropolitan City Hall in Shinjuku was featured in the 1991 Toho feature, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.

That is one reason a kaiju fan should make a pilgrimage to the buildings.  Another is to obtain information to make a visit to Japan an even more enjoyable one.

On the first floor of Building One of Metropolitan City Hall, visitors can obtain information on tourist attractions, tourist routes and information on Japan's elaborate public transportation system.

On the second floor, the Prefectural Tourism Promotion Center can be found.  Here, Tokyo and municipal governments from all around Japan promote tourism to prefectures outside of Tokyo.

Other places for tourist information can be found at the Keisei Ueno Station in front of the ticket gate.  Also, the Tokyo Tourism Information Center can be found on the first floor of the Haneda Airport Passenger Terminal 1.
