Tokyo Skytree Tops 10 Million Visitors

When I saw the Tokyo Skytree in December 2010, it was already an impressive structure. At the time, it was still under construction and had not yet reached its full height.

Three years later, the Skytree has reached another milestone.

According to Kyodo News:
The number of visitors to the observatory deck of Tokyo Skytree, the world's tallest broadcasting tower at 634 meters, topped 10 million on Friday morning since its opening on May 22 last year, the tower's operator said. 
The observation deck, which stands at 350 meters, is popular for its panoramic view of the Tokyo metropolitan area as well as its glass floor that allows visitors to see directly beneath.
I am considering a visit to the Skytree next year, but it is my understanding that getting reservations to go up the the observation deck are not easy as the demand is high. We'll see when I get there. It is the most popular tourist attraction in Japan, or at least in Tokyo.
