Japan Today posed an interesting question:
Should overweight people flying economy class be required to pay for an extra seat?
The comments are varied, with some being very funny.
Really, if someone is the size of Jabba the Hutt and their flab hangs over into another seat, then that makes a long flight for the poor person seated next to that person uncomfortable and miserable. Obese people should use common sense and go with Business or First Class seating. Those seats are much bigger.
