It seems that for the past several years Lassen Volcanic National Park and Crater Lake National Park have been threatened by wildfires around the parks.
When I visited Crater Lake in 2017 (as part of my Great American Eclipse trip), there were fire crews outside of the park near the north entrance. The smoke from the fires settled in the Crater Lake caldera. This year has been no exception.
During that trip, there were no wildfire problems in Lassen National Park that I can remember. I camped at the Manzanita Lake Campground.
Currently, the Dixie Fire has caused the emergency closure of entire Lassen Volcanic National Park.

According to Sierra Sun Times:
August 6, 2021 - Mineral, CA – An emergency closure is in place for the entirety of Lassen Volcanic National Park due to the Dixie Fire, which is active in the remote eastern side of the park.
“The temporary closure ensures firefighters have unimpeded access to all areas of the park,” said Superintendent Jim Richardson. “The park’s current priorities are to ensure the immediate evacuation of visitors and to protect facilities along the park highway and in the Manzanita Lake and Mineral Headquarters areas.”
Information about the Dixie Fire is available on InciWeb at https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/7690/. Information is also available via the Dixie Fire Information line at (530) 538-7826 and Media line at (530) 588-0845. Lassen Volcanic National Park will not provide separate communications about Dixie Fire activity within the park.
