We're now in a new month.
Japan is still closed off to foreign tourism. When it will reopen is anyone's guess but there are rumblings in the Japanese hinterlands and pressure is starting to mount on the government to reopen the country.
In the meantime, let's take a look at the dollar and yen exchange rate in Tokyo trading.
According to Jiji Press:
Tokyo, Jan. 31 (Jiji Press)--The dollar moved around 115.40 in Tokyo trading Monday, after dropping as low as around 115.20 yen in overseas trading late last week due to a fall in U.S. Treasury yields.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 115.42-42 yen, down from 115.65-65 yen at the same time Friday.
