We're now in a new month and it's time to take a look at the foreign exchange rate between the U.S. dollar and the Japanese yen.
There's good news and bad news.
The good news is that the dollar is doing quite well in Tokyo trading. The bad news is that foreign tourists are still barred from visiting Japan to take advantage of the exchange rate.
According to Jiji Press:
Tokyo, April 1 (Jiji Press)--The dollar climbed back to hit levels around 122.60 yen in Tokyo trading Friday, aided by real demand and higher U.S. interest rates.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 122.62-63 yen, up from 121.63-64 yen at the same time Thursday.
