Japan Relaxes Visa Requirements To Draw More Asian Tourists

Japan is taking steps in effort to boost tourism from other Asian countries.

The Tokyo Times reported:
Japan has relaxed visa requirements for tourists from several Southeast Asian countries, in its attempt to boost local tourism. 
The initiative marks 40 years of ties between Japan and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), an economic organisation of ten countries located in Southeast Asia.
One favorite stop for Asian visitors on the route of a popular Tokyo tourism bus, the "Sky Hop Bus," is the Sensoji Temple in the Asakusa section of Tokyo along with the shops on Nakamise Street that leads to the temple.
