It has been a while since I've checked, so I snagged a copy of the Sunday, July 7 Los Angeles Times Travel section to see what they are saying are the current airline fare prices for Tokyo (NRT).
Their price checks include the Sabre reservation system, airlines and the Web. They say that the price variances are due to the "differing fuel surcharges on different airlines."
The prices they found range from $912 to $1,169 for round-trips.
It is likely that people on their own can find lower airfares, as I have in the past.
