2019 Roswell UFO Festival July 5-7

Since we're now in a new year, the year's events are starting to shape up.

Once such event takes place in Roswell, New Mexico, and that is the 2019 Roswell UFO Festival.

I attended last year's UFO Festival and had a good time, although since many of the attractions at the festival are scattered around town, I did a lot of walking. To be prepared to walk your feet off.

The highlight of the festival, for me, was touring the International UFO Museum and Research Center. The museum had many exhibits, including one of The Day The Earth Stood Still with a full-sized Gort.

According to MainStreet Roswell:
Thousands of aliens, humans and pets are expected to invade Roswell, New Mexico to commemorate the 72nd Anniversary of the UFO crash, better known as the ‘Roswell Incident’. The 24th annual event takes place July 5-7, 2019. Roswell welcomes UFO enthusiasts and skeptics alike to join in the celebration of the much-debated 1947 incident that many believe involved a UFO crashing on a ranch near Roswell.
Several of the most popular and well-attended events include the Alien Human/Pet Costume Contests (which also includes Cosplay this year) Electric Light Parade, world-renowned speakers and UFOlogists,  Dr. Robert H. Goddard Planetarium Laser Light Shows, crash site tours, Mars 2147 attraction, and much more!
For those in search of musical entertainment, the Festival will not disappoint! Be on the look out for aliens, magicians, comedians…
The event is also host to many free, family friendly activities that include alien hat making, crazy alien hair, alien masks. Be sure to get a fun selfie at many of our step-and-repeat scenes!
As if to reenact the storm that brought down the flying saucer in 1947, we were treated to a couple of electrical storms during the festival.
