After Today's Shoveling

Finally, with some sunlight and a nice tropical 9° outside, I went out to shovel the walkways and the driveway immediately in front of the garage.

The snow wasn't that deep, maybe about 2" in some areas, but since it is so cold out, much of it turned icy. That made shoveling harder to do. But it is still better to something than to do nothing. The walkways and driveway still has a layer of ice. I have to be careful to not slip on it.

The forecast has today's high at about 27°. Still below freezing. 

One nice thing, a few months ago I received some gloves made of some synthetic material from some charity group. Those actually kept my fingers warmer than the leather gloves I normally use.

It's funny, there's not a cloud in the sky, but it is still cold out. It would be a nice day if it were warmer.
