Ever since I can remember, guns have always been part of camping in my family. On camping trips, my dad packed a gun as did both of my grandfathers. I also carry one. You never know when you just may need it.

State and federal laws play a significant role, and their differences can pose challenges. Federal law allows interstate transportation of firearms under the Gun Control Act of 1968, but state and local laws on carrying and storing firearms can vary significantly. It’s essential to familiarize yourself with these regulations, particularly regarding legal compliance in defensive gun use.
