When one moves from a highly-populated urban area like Los Angeles to a rural area like Jamestown, New Mexico, occasional adjustments sometimes have to be made.
I received my electric bill today and along with that, a notice telling customers that from now to April 2019, we have to provide our electric meter readings to the electric company.
This is due to a new Gallup substation is being built to replace the one that supplies electricity to our community. The construction is expected to be completed to last through to April 2019. During this period, they are unable to retrieve our meter readings electronically.
This kind of thing we definitely not work in Los Angeles. It would be nice to get a discount for doing their work for them.
