The Rebel & the King

Above, Nick Adams and Elvis Presley.

Previously, I knew that Elvis Presley and Nick Adams were friends, but it wasn't until I read Peter Guralnick's book, Last Train to Memphis: The Rise of Elvis Presley, that I learned that their friendship was more extensive.

In fact, Adams chronicled his friendship with Presley in the 1950s in a manuscript that was discovered by his daughter Allyson Adams about five years ago. It was published as an e-book under the title, The Rebel & the King shortly thereafter.

Above, Adams and Presley take a joyride.

Nick Adams is a kaiju fan favorite for his appearances in Monster Zero and Frankenstein Conquers The World, both Toho productions.
