Big cities are usually associated with crime and other problems that large population centers bring. But there are some who have great safety records for locals as well as travelers.
New Zealand's IOL has posted the top five safest cities to travel to.
They begin with:
Every traveller has the fear of their safety being compromised when they are visiting another country, and the fear is understandable - but there are a few cities around the world that have an impeccable record when it comes to safety and security.
Here is a list of five cities that are deemed safe by its visitors.
Of the five cities deemed safe, Japan (not surprisingly) has two of them.
