Winter Storm's A Comin'

Tomorrow, we'll be headed 174 miles north of Jamestown, New Mexico to Durango, Colorado for a little vacation trek.

Along with riding the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad train, we'll be going up to Ouray and Ridgway to see some of the filming locations of True Grit (1969).

An unseasonal winter storm is headed our way (it is very windy now) and this is what the National Weather Service says about it (for Jamestown):

Today
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 3pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 71. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph becoming northwest 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight
Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. North wind 5 to 15 mph becoming south after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday
Rain likely before noon, then showers likely after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Southeast wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
