As a movie, it wasn't as good as Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948), but the special effects were good. It was entertaining enough, especially the boxing ring sequence.
Here, Bud and Lou are bumbling detectives helping a boxer clear his name of a murder charge. He becomes invisible to evade the police.
I noticed four actors who have appeared in the Adventures of Superman in this movie. It is funny how one can notice familiar actors in other roles while watching old movies.
They include:
Herb Vigran as Stillwell the gym owner (similar to his Mortimer Murray character in "No Holds Barred" in 1951), Syd Saylor (or Sid Saylor) as a waiter (he was Marco the ventriloquist in "The Case of the Talkative Dummy"), Bobby Barber as Sneaky (he was in "Crime Wave" in 1951 and a buddy of Abbott and Costello) and Sam Balter as a radio announcer (a role he performed several times in the 1953 season).
