Well, we're in a new month and it is time to see how the U.S. dollar is faring against the Japanese yen in Tokyo foreign exchange trading.
It appears it is doing good, which is great news for American travelers.
According to Jiji Press:
Tokyo, April 28 (Jiji Press)--The dollar surged above 135.70 yen in Tokyo trading Friday, getting a boost from the Bank of Japan's decision to keep its massive monetary easing policy unchanged.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 135.71-72 yen, up from 133.78-79 yen at the same time Thursday.
