Yosemite To Close Lower, North Pines Campgrounds Monday Due To Flooding Forecast

It appears that flooding from the Merced River is still a distinct possibility in Yosemite Valley.

Two campgrounds and Housekeeping Camp will be closed on Monday morning.

The Sierra Sun Times reported:

Yosemite National Park officials report the following:

Due to a forecast of flooding, Lower and North Pines Campgrounds and Housekeeping Camp will close on Monday morning, May 15. Additional closures are possible. We will provide an update by Monday evening, May 15.

Unlike the last month’s forecast of flooding, the extended forecast calls for warm weather indefinitely.
