Democrats Reintroduce ‘Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act’

Above, a typical ammo online ad by Bass Prop Shops.

Those bastards never give up.

The House Democrats reintroduced a stupid bill that, if passed, would ban online ammunition sales.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reported:

House Democrats have introduced H.R. 7166, a bill that would effectively end direct-to-consumer online ammunition sales nationwide by forcing so-called “face-to-face” identity verification for internet purchases.

While supporters brand it as “common sense,” it is not. Unconstitutional in design, unethical in intent and absurd in its real-world consequences, the proposal doesn’t target criminals. The “Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act” targets law-abiding Americans who buy ammunition for self-defense, training, hunting, pest control and competitive shooting.

"We Are Not Cutting Medicaid"

May 30, 2025

“WE ARE NOT CUTTING MEDICAID”

Democrats Voted to spend your Medicaid dollars on illegal immigrants and sex change operations

  • House Democrats voted against the One, Big, Beautiful Bill, which will strengthen and protect Medicaid.

  • Democrats voted to keep spending your Medicaid dollars on illegal immigrants and sex changes, instead of using it to help those most in need of assistance—mothers, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income families.

  • Democrats voted against prioritizing American citizens and ending taxpayer-funded health care for 1.4 million illegal immigrants .

    • Medicaid itself reported $543 billion in improper payments, but external analyses show that the true number of improper payments is likely much higher.

    • Even CNN admitted  that the Democrats are lying about the One, Big, Beautiful Bill removing people from their healthcare.

  • Democrats voted to continue allowing taxpayer funds to go toward the mutilation of minors.

    • The One, Big, Beautiful bill is a pro-family and pro-American bill that fights against radical left wing wokeness.

  • Republicans are pushing for work requirements to maintain Medicare benefits to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in our system.

    • Democrats voted against this commonsense requirement.

    • Work requirements would not apply to pregnant women, parents, medically frail individuals and people with substance-abuse disorders, and others.

NSSF Hails Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act

The National Shooting Sports Association (NSSF) hails the introduction of H.R. 1181 that protects the privacy of firearms purchases.

The NSSF posted:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, hails the introduction of H.R. 1181, the Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act, introduced by U.S. Rep. Riley Moore (R-W.V.), which would ban the use of a firearm retailer-specific Merchant Category Code (MCC). The legislation would protect the Second Amendment privacy of firearm and ammunition purchasers from financial service and payment card providers compiling purchase history that has already proven to be exploited by the federal government for political purposes.

Rep. Moore is joined by Congressmen Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), Andy Barr (R-Ky.) and 23 additional co-sponsors.

Trump Wins!

Our long national nightmare is over.

Last night, I stayed up until President-Elect Donald Trump finished his victory speech. That was around 1:00 am. I haven't stayed up this late in ages. I'm usually in bed by 9:00.

The last time I remember doing so was election night in 2016, also for a Trump win. Except that I was in my motorhome in an RV park near Springfield, Illinois, the "Land of Lincoln".

I just got up our of bed to find about three inches of fresh snow outside.

I am pleased that Trump won and the GOP retains control of the House of Representatives and regains control of the Senate.

Locally, Nella Domenici did not win a Senate seat and neither did Yvette Harrell win back her House seat.

Kari Lake's loss was a disappointment in Arizona. But, at least Sen. Ted Cruz was re-elected.

Zuckerberg Admits To Being Part of Censorship Scheme

Above, Mark Zuckerberg. Image by Fox News.

This is one of those things where I can easily say, "I'm not at all surprised."

A "little late and with phony contrition," Zuckerberg admits that Facebook was a part of the Biden-Harris censorship scheme. This was after Rep. Jim Jordan's House Judiciary Committee forced Zuckerberg to release documents.

Fox News Opinion (Jonathan Turley) wrote this:

"I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it." Those words from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg came this week with an admission in a letter that his company, Facebook, did yield to pressure from the Biden-Harris administration to censor American citizens on a wide array of subjects.

For those of us who have criticized Facebook for years for its role in the massive censorship system, Zuckerberg's belated contrition was more insulting than inspiring. It had all of the genuine regret as a stalker found hiding under the bed of a victim.

Zuckerberg's sudden regret only came after his company fought for years to conceal the evidence of its work with the government to censor opposing views. Zuckerberg was finally compelled to release the documents by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and the House Judiciary Committee.

Biden Accused of Abuse of Power and Other Offenses

Three House committees issued a report on the activities of His Fraudulency Joe Biden and his family. It states he committed at least two impeachable offenses.

According to the New York Post:

CHICAGO — House Republicans issued a blistering report Monday accusing President Biden of committing at least two offenses that would justify his impeachment — delivering a political black eye to Biden just hours before he speaks on the opening night of the Democratic National Convention.

Republicans launched the investigation last September after evidence surfaced that Biden, 81, repeatedly interacted with his relatives’ foreign business partners during his vice presidency — and following allegations from two IRS investigators of a far-reaching Justice Department coverup.

Biden engaged in “abuse of power” and “obstruction of justice or obstruction of Congress” by corruptly abetting and concealing a $27 million “influence-peddling racket” — which warrant proceedings that could result in his removal from office, the 291-page report by three House committees says.

“Joe Biden has exhibited conduct and taken actions that the Founders sought to guard against in drafting the impeachment provisions in the Constitution: abuse of power, foreign entanglements, corruption, and obstruction of investigations into these matters,” the report says.

“The Committees’ investigative work has revealed that the Biden family — with the full knowledge and cooperation of President Biden — has engaged in a global influence peddling racket from which they made millions of dollars.”

Pro-Second Amendment Witness About California Gun Laws

Here's an interesting video on gun purchases by women, particularly black women.

At Wednesday's House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) promoted the rights of women to own guns.

Kevin McCarthy Ousted As Speaker

Above, Rep. Kevin McCarthy. Official portrait 2023.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is now ex-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

A GOP revolt led by Rep. Matt Gaetz voted McCarthy out of the speakership today. I have to admit that I didn't see this one coming.

From Newsmax:

The House of Representatives is officially in recess — closed for business — with the ousting of Speaker Kevin McCarthy in a historic vote on Capitol Hill, Tuesday.

Eight Republicans voted to remove McCarthy; the Democrat caucus vowed that they were going to be united in not getting involved, all of them voting to oust McCarthy, the first speaker removed since 1910.

Before the final vote, 11 Republicans voted to advance the motion to vacate to the full House.

It will be interesting to see who becomes the next speaker.

House Panel Passes Bill To Thwart CBDC

Some good news has come out of the House of Representatives. It is a first step in thwarting the creation of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), but it is an important step nonetheless.

From Banking Dive:

The House Financial Services Committee last week passed a bill that would stop the Federal Reserve from working on a central bank digital currency, giving the full House a chance to consider the legislation.

The bill would amend the Federal Reserve Act to prohibit Federal Reserve-supervised banks from issuing “a central bank digital currency, or any digital asset that is substantially similar under any other name or label, directly to an individual,” according to the text of that proposed bill, H.R. 5403.

Rep. Tom Emmer, R-MN, who is also the House Majority Whip, proposed the bill, which he refers to as the “CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act.” It was passed by the committee Wednesday to the House floor.

Kennedy's Opening Statement At Yesterday's Hearing

The following email was received today from the Kennedy campaign:

Join Kennedy

Dear Armand,

Yesterday, I testified at a Congressional committee about censorship and the weaponization of federal agencies. Here is my video comment on the hearing.

Many of the committee members treated me fairly and with dignity. Others – members of my own party – descended into baseless smears and insults.

These tactics are precisely how censorship works. An individual is associated with something loathsome — anti-Semitism, racism, extremism, etc. Having been deemed untouchable, they are targeted for deplatforming.

Ranking Democratic committee member Debbie Wasserman Schultz attempted this right off the bat, motioning to move my testimony to a closed-door, secret “executive session” so the American public would not have a chance to hear me. Her argument, basically, was that my views are so hateful and disgusting that to entertain them in public is tantamount to inciting violence.

Of course, this was all grandstanding. I doubt any committee member actually believes I am as diabolical as they tried to paint me. This kind of tactic, though, is tearing our nation apart.

The question is, “Will these tactics work?” And the answer is, “That is up to the public.” And especially, it is up to you.

The tactics work when people shy away from the smear target. They backfire when people are so fed up with the divisiveness and incivility that they redouble their support.

RFK Jr. Defends Self Against Democrat Attacks At Hearing

Above, Robert Kennedy Jr. during yesterday's testimony.

It was astonishing seeing Democrats on the House subcommittee on weaponization of federal agencies hearing on censorship rake Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over the coals yesterday.

Kennedy was accused of making anti-Semitic and racist statements (in relation to COVID virus). Kennedy, a Democrat himself, was treated as if he were Donald Trump or some other Republican.

Kennedy, at least, fought back against the attacks.

It was ironic that a hearing on censorship began with Democrats trying to censor him by moving to disinvite him from testifying before the hearing started.

From the Washington Times:

House Democrats attacked Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the chief party rival to President Biden in the 2024 race, Thursday by accusing him of trading in antisemitic tropes and spurring doubts about vaccines within the Black community even though he vaccinated his own children.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Florida Democrat, moved to shut down Mr. Kennedy’s testimony at a House Judiciary Committee hearing in which GOP lawmakers invited the presidential candidate and others to testify on censorship by Big Tech and government officials.

“Mr. Kennedy has repeatedly made antisemitic and anti-Asian comments as recently as last week,” Mr. Schultz said, referring to when Mr. Kennedy suggested the coronavirus might have been targeted at White and Black people while sparing Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people.

"Mr. Schultz"? LOL!

Still, it was a mind-blowing spectacle. Who'd have thought a Kennedy would be subjected to vicious attacks by fellow Democrats? I made myself a bowl of popcorn and watched the whole hearing.

Kennedy To Testify On Censorship and Weaponization

Yesterday, I received an interesting email from the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. presidential campaign. He is to testify before a House subcommittee this morning on censorship and weaponization of the federal government.

His testimony should prove to be interesting.

Here's the email:

Dear Armand,

We’re excited to announce that tomorrow morning, July 20th at 9 a.m. Eastern Time, Mr. Kennedy will testify at a House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government about the federal government’s disturbing role in censoring American citizens.

RFK Jr to Testifiy on Censorship in Congress

Mr. Kennedy’s testimony will contribute to the pushback against the rampant collusion between government agencies and tech platforms to censor speech that does not align with the interests of the Washington establishment.

Statement from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on tomorrow’s hearing:

“Recent revelations in the Twitter Files and Missouri v. Biden show how deeply institutionalized government censorship has become. “It is dressed up in euphemisms like, ‘working with our partners in tech,’ but make no mistake, this is a systematic program to control what Americans can say and think. As such, it is antithetical to democracy. In a democracy, the people tell the government what to think, not the other way around.”

Yesterday, 102 Democrats signed a letter asking that Mr. Kennedy be disinvited from the hearing. Quite ironic to censor someone testifying at a hearing on censorship. The hearing might make interesting viewing! You can watch the livestream here.

Freedom of speech is the foundation of democracyIf you believe in the First Amendment, please chip in to make sure that this vital Constitutional right is passed down to future generations.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is one of the most censored American voices of our time. Take a moment to watch his important testimony tomorrow morning and share this email with anyone you know who cares about the issues of censorship, free speech, and democracy.

Sincerely,

Team Kennedy

Arnold Palmer May Be Honored In 2029 Coinage

Above, Arnold Palmer in 1953.

Arnold Palmer, one of golf's greatest golfers, may be honored with commemorative coinage in 2029.

I think this is a great idea, I just hope that we're around then.

From Coin World:

Legislation introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives seeks commemorative coins in 2029 to honor American golfer and philanthropist Arnold Palmer “for his service to our country, achievements in the sport of golf and his exemplary character.”

Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, R-Pa., introduced the Arnold Daniel Palmer Commemorative Coin Act, H.R. 2808, on April 24.

Palmer, who died Sept. 25, 2016, at age 87, was recognized in 2011 with a congressional gold medal, bronze duplicates of which are available for sale from the U.S. Mint in 1.5-inch and 3-inch diameter issues for $20 and $160, respectively.

Democrat Plans To Take Oath On Superman Comic Book

Above, Superman no. 1 from 1939.

The Democrats have been insane for years, but it has only been in recent years that their insanity is being prominently displayed for all to see.

The latest is from the Gateway Pundit:

Journalist Matt Laslo broke the news in a tweet with by sharing a photo of a vintage superman comic book with the caption “a member of the House of Representatives is taking their oath on a classic Superman comic book”

Hours later it was revealed Democrat U.S. representative for California’s 42nd congressional district Robert Garcia was the one who is planning to be sworn in on the comic book.

At least he has picked a valuable issue: Superman no. 1 from 1939.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy Loses 2nd Ballot For Speaker

Hard-line conservatives of the Republican House caucus again defeated Rep. Kevin McCarthy's bid to become Speaker of the House in a second ballot vote. McCarthy needs 218 votes to become Speaker.

This sort of thing (more than one ballot for speaker) hasn't occurred since the Civil War era.

According to Politico:

Kevin McCarthy again failed to secure the votes for speaker in a highly unusual second ballot, as his dozen-plus detractors refused to relent in their push for fresh leadership atop the party.

This time, conservative hero Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) personally urged his colleagues to back McCarthy in a speech before the vote. Instead, 19 Republicans voted for Jordan on the floor — again sending GOP leaders scrambling.

It’s a stunning prolonged chaos on the first day of the new Congress. McCarthy and his allies will now attempt to quell the revolt, preparing members to take repeated votes as pressure mounts from their colleagues. It marked only the second time since the Civil War that a party needs multiple attempts to choose its leader on the House floor — with all business in the chamber, even the swearing-in of members, halted until a speaker is chosen.

It looks to be a long night.

UPDATE (1/4/23):

McCarthy has since lost a 3rd ballot vote with a defector.

Trump Running In 2024...But

Above, President Trump at the Albuquerque Sunport.

Former President Trump is running for president in 2024.

Although he made his formal announcement yesterday, this really comes as no surprise. If he gets the GOP nomination and wins, he will be the second president after Grover Cleveland to not serve two consecutive terms of office.

At present, I am just going to take a wait-and-see attitude. I am also leaning towards Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, should he decide to throw his hat into the ring.

After the midterm elections, things are a bit topsy-turvy right now. A lot of election results make no sense. The Republican Party needs to see what went wrong and make corrections during the next two years. It appears at this point that the Republican Party will be in control of the House of Representatives with Kevin McCarthy as Speaker, replacing Nancy Pelosi.

One thing is for certain, the financial markets should be happier now that we have a divided government.

Things are going to be mighty interesting over the next two years.

House Proposal Will Hike Taxes

Former President Ronald Reagan used to have two descriptions (among many) of the Democrat Party:

They never met a tax they didn't like, or hike.

Republicans see every day as July 4th, the Democrats see every day as April 15.

Proving once again that Reagan was right about them, the Democrats are planning to raise taxes. This time, it is during a period of high inflation and the possibility of a recession. Impeccable timing, eh?

The Epoch Times reported:

Taxes will go up for millions of lower- and middle-income taxpayers under the House Democrats’ version of President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better plan, according to two new analyses by the non-partisan professional staff of the congressional Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT).

“While Republican tax reform in 2017 cut taxes for all Americans, and increased the progressivity of the tax code, the Democrats’ approach to tax reform does not cut taxes for anyone, but it would raise taxes on millions of lower- and middle-income Americans at a time when they can least afford it,” U.S. Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) said in a statement issued late Monday.

“The economy is already reeling from Democrats’ bad policies and people are struggling to make ends meet. The last thing they need are higher taxes, especially in light of rising odds of a recession and stagflation,” the Idaho Republican continued.

Crapo was referring to the June 23 (pdf) and June 27 (pdf) analyses by the 10-member panel, which made the studies available to Members of Congress and their staff, but did not publicly issue news releases describing the results. Both analyses focused on H.R. 5376, as amended.

RPNM STATEMENT ON GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM’S TESTIMONY ON REDUCING METHANE POLLUTION

RPNM STATEMENT ON GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM’S TESTIMONY BEFORE A CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEE ON REDUCING METHANE POLLUTION FROM OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION

Albuquerque, June 14—The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce following Gov. Lujan Grisham’s testimony today before the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis on cutting methane gas pollution. During her testimony she touted New Mexico’s green policies, while claiming New Mexico’s energy rules are a “model for the nation” an “economic driver” and “create a predictable and fair environment for industry.”

As Lujan Grisham spouts off her promises of green jobs, deliberately moves away from fossil fuels and basks in her sea of regulations, progressive policies at the federal and state level have killed our economy and driven up energy costs. New Mexicans are now paying the highest prices ever for gasoline, and they feel the pain. It costs $100 to fill up a vehicle, and there’s no sign of relief at the pumps because of Biden’s policies and Lujan Grisham’s Green New Deal.

“Today’s testimony before a Congressional committee once again demonstrates that our Governor is out of touch with her energy policies. She continues to use the national stage to try to advance her political standing, but, more importantly, Lujan Grisham’s progressive platforms defy what’s right for New Mexico. She will always turn her back on her state’s needs and the vital oil and gas industry that’s the driving fiscal engine in New Mexico. This important industry pours billions of dollars into our state coffers and provides more than a hundred thousand direct or related jobs. This Governor continues her efforts to impose painful regulations against oil and gas, and it’s crystal clear that Lujan Grisham has become a true threat to our essential energy sector and the future of our state. New Mexico can become a key player to provide energy independence for our nation, but Lujan Grisham and her progressive pals hold steadfast to the belief that $100 to fill your tank is right for consumers. RPNM believes gas and food should be affordable to working class citizens.”

Stop Extreme Gun Control Package

All the gun grabbers conveniently like to forget who’s on the other end of the trigger of all this “gun violence.” - James Woods.

On a party-line vote, the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives Judiciary Committee passed a horrible gun control bill. It is heading to house vote as early as this week.

This bill must be defeated.

According to the NRA-ILA:

Late last week, the House Judiciary Committee rammed through an extreme package of gun control measures on a party-line vote. If this terrible legislation becomes law, tens of millions of law-abiding gun owners would be turned into felons and their lawfully-acquired property would be subject to confiscation by federal agents. Nancy Pelosi plans to bring this to the U.S. House floor for a vote this week.

The bill, H.R. 7910, which was introduced and heard in committee in a matter of only three days, is a conglomeration of numerous other gun control bills.

The article goes through a litany of provisions.
