Black Lives Matter = Marxist Uprising

Rush Limbaugh, during his show today, covered a lot of topics today (as he took yesterday off), but his comments concerning the desecration of monuments and the toppling of statues needs to be emphasized. Those desecrations are only minor steps towards the bigger goal of tearing down this country. 

They (ANTIFA and the Black Lives Matter organization) aim to tear down everything from national monuments and, incredibly, statues of Jesus Christ.

This isn't about the killing of George Floyd by the police. That initially was the excuse for the mayhem. It should be obvious to everyone by now.

He said:

It is a fabulous record to remind people of prior to the virus. It is overwhelming, particularly for African-Americans, it was through-the-roof great. The economy, unemployment, wages, all of that, something that is purposely being torn down. And I think, you know, the American people have a clear choice here, and it’s unlike a choice that they’ve ever had. This is not a choice between Republicans and Democrats. This is a choice between America, as founded, and bye-bye America, as founded. And that’s exactly what’s on the plate. That is not an exaggeration. 

It is abundantly clear, and it has been abundantly clear to me for years now, these people on the left, they have no interest in correcting what they think are America’s mistakes. They’re tearing down statues. They’re tearing down artwork. They’re tearing down anything with a link to the past in this country. It’s not because the past offends them. It’s because they’re getting ready to wipe out this country. They’re getting ready to totally scrap it and start again. They believe the country is irredeemable. 

Folks, it’s a bunch of Marxists. We find ourselves in this campaign not against Republicans, Democrats. This is the American people versus Marxism. It’s the American people versus communism. In stark terms, it’s exactly what we face here.

Fort Wingate: Tribal Park or National Monument?

There is a 500 "patch of land" near Fort Wingate that the Old Fort Wingate Task Force wants to transfer from the control of the Bureau of Indian Affairs to the National Park Service. It is then hoped that once the transfer is complete, the task force hopes to work with the NPS to establish the 500 acres as a tribal park or as a national monument.

Heading the Old Fort Wingate Task Force is its president, Martin Link. Link, as many readers of this blog knows, is a local Gallup, New Mexico historian and writer and it is at his residence in Gallup that I attend monthly dinners.

Several of Fort Wingate's buildings have been saved from near-demolition under the Bureau of Indian Affairs, despite several of them are on the National Register of Historic Places.

John Taylor, secretary for the task force, says the ultimate goal is to preserve the fort as a depiction of living history. The land will be either transferred to the Navajo Nation as a tribal park or to the National Park Service as a national monument.

The proposed tribal park or national monument would not involve the land of the Army Depot section of Fort Wingate which contains the ordnance storage bunkers.

Martin Link hinted at last month's dinner that things were beginning to happen with Fort Wingate. The biggest issue standing in the way is funding.

Cowboys For Trump Sends National Monument Sand To Washington

The New Mexico Cowboys for Trump group may have made a faux pas when they brought sand to Washington, D.C. from White Sands National Monument.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported:

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. — The New Mexico group Cowboys for Trump faces criticism after members brought iconic gypsum sands from White Sands National Monument to Washington for the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree lighting ceremony — a possible violation of federal law. 

Otero County Commission Chairman and Cowboys for Trump co-founder Couy Griffin said the group brought four "big plastic bins" of the extremely fine, pure white sand for the ceremony Wednesday, the Alamogordo Daily News reported. 

"We're bringing Washington, D.C., some of the most beautiful treasure out of New Mexico," Griffin said in a video posted to the Cowboys for Trump Facebook page Nov. 30. 

The sand was given as a gift to New Mexico's congressional delegation so it could be "showcased" with the tree, the group said without providing more details on how it was used. The tree itself is a large blue spruce, from the Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico. 

But removing natural resources from a U.S. national parks unit, including national monuments, is illegal without permission.

Hopefully, the group obtained permission first. At the very least, if they did mess up, perhaps the sand could be returned to the national monument by New Mexico's aforementioned congressional delegation.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Iconic gypsum sand that the group Cowboys for Trump had said was from White Sands National Monument in New Mexico and was sent to Washington for the U.S. Capitol Tree lighting ceremony this week was actually gathered just outside the monument, one of the group’s co-founders said Friday. 

The group had caused a political furor after announcing it sent the sand because it’s illegal to remove sand from the park — and Democrats said the group might have violated federal law. 

But Otero County Commission Chairman and Cowboys for Trump co-founder Couy Griffin told The Associated Press the group collected its four “big plastic bins” of extremely fine, pure white sand from outside the monument’s perimeter for delivery to Wednesday’s tree lighting ceremony after getting permission from the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

VICE Magazine Tweets: Calling For Blowing Up Mt. Rushmore

We live in very strange, and dangerous, times.

The Left in this country are totally out of control. They belong in lunatic asylums.

The latest is a Tweet from the leftist rag, VICE, who calls for the blowing up of Mount Rushmore. This is right out of ISIS's playbook. Some unhinged idiot just may act on this and damage it and other national monuments.

PJ Media reported:

On the same day as a deadly incident in Barcelona that police have confirmed as a terrorist attack, a tweet published by VICE (whose website PJ Media will not link to in this post) called for blowing up Mount Rushmore.

Here's the Tweet that PJ Media copied before VICE removed it:

It is getting to the point where good citizens have to be on the alert for suspicious people who may want to do harm to our monuments and possibly cause death or injury. If I were to see someone attempt something, that person will be immediately knee-capped and their hands broken. Or worse. This is something that none of us should put up with.

Then there's a report of a Missouri state senator (a Democrat) who said she "hopes" President Trump gets assassinated. Another deranged idiot!

Trump To Review National Monuments

President Obama ruffled some feathers in different states by naming different parcels of land as National Monuments without the request or approval of the states involved. President Trump is reviewing these to see if violations of the Antiquities Act were made.

According to the Bangor Daily News:

Maine’s national monument will be attacked on two fronts if, as anticipated, President Donald Trump orders a review of monument designations later this week, and Gov. Paul LePage testifies before Congress on May 1 against executive orders that create monuments without state approval. 

LePage will fly to Washington, D.C. to testify before a House Committee on Natural Resources subcommittee next week in opposition to national monument designations created by presidential order, the governor confirmed Monday during a press conference in Augusta. 

“The Legislature in Maine said [it] didn’t want a national park or monument and he [President Barack Obama] went ahead and did it anyway,” LePage said Monday. “I’m going to say he violated the Antiquities Act and it should be reversed.”
