The past year had passed by so fast that it still seems that I was recently camping in Yosemite National Park.
I did, however, pay a brief visit to Yosemite during my trek up the Owens Valley in July. I took the Tioga Pass from U.S. 395 through Yosemite to get to U.S. 99 for the drive home.
But, one year ago today, I left North Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley early in the morning to head home.
After driving through Yosemite Village, I would occasionally see groups of deer grazing in the valley meadows or among the trees alongside of the road.
I did make a stop to take some early morning (around 6:39) photos of Half Dome. After that, I continued on and made one more last stop at Tunnel View overlook. There was about a half dozen people at the overlook enjoying the view of Yosemite Valley as the day dawned.
It was an enjoyable trip even though it rained at times.
