The worst summer storm I experienced was in 1990 while camping near Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.
A summer thunderstorm struck one night and we were camping in a tent trailer. We didn't have any problems, but sometimes a summer storm can (and sometimes does) cause serious damage, injury or death.
