Now that Japan is opening to full tourism in ten days and we're in a new month, it is time to take a gander at how the U.S. dollar is faring against the Japanese yen in foreign exchange in Tokyo.
It appears the dollar dropped a bit, but it is still way up.
Jiji Press reported:
Tokyo, Sept. 30 (Jiji Press)--The dollar weakened to around 144.30 yen in late Tokyo trading Friday, amid transactions related to the end of September and of the July-September quarter.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 144.30-30 yen, down from 144.68-68 yen at the same time Thursday.
