The monsoon season in the Southwest generally runs from June through September.
This year's monsoon season brought good rainfall in this parched region. Apparently, it is not over yet despite us being in October.
The coming week, starting today, looks to be a wet one. So the monsoon is still ongoing.
According to the National Weather Service:
Overnight
Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 70. South wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Sunday Night
Showers and thunderstorms likely before 9pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 48. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Monday
Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Monday Night
A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.
Tuesday
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.
