Another celebrity has passed on. It seems like too many are leaving us since this year began. At least this one had a long life.
David Crosby of The Byrds and Crosby, Still & Nash (later Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) has passed away at 81 due to a "long illness."
I remember seeing him frequently during the mid-1980s at Eddie Saul's delicatessen restaurant in Encino. He had his hair cut shorter, but he still had his trademark mustache.
Later, he had to have a liver transplant due to the effects of Hepatitis C.
Pretty soon, our music heroes from the 1960s and 1970s will be gone. At least we have their music to continue to enjoy.
