For the past several snowstorms, I noticed something odd.
Just before we get a snowstorm in, the temperature seems to get a little warmer for a few days and then, wham, we get a storm.
This seems to be the case as we are creeping into the 50s during the next day or two. We will be getting snow starting Saturday night and into next week. At least that's what the National Weather Service says.
Their forecast for Jamestown during the next week:

Sunny, with a high near 45. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 16. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. South wind around 5 mph.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.

Snow showers before 11am, then rain and snow showers. High near 38. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Rain and snow showers likely, becoming all snow after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Snow showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
