Deb Haaland Tied To Jeffrey Epstein

Democrat Deb Haaland had some ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, so much so that she flew aboard a plane chartered by Epstein.

From the Pinon Post:

New Mexico is once again in the national spotlight for all the wrong reasons after a bombshell report revealed that Democratic gubernatorial frontrunner Deb Haaland once flew on a private jet connected to disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to reporting by the New York Post, newly released emails show Haaland was among several passengers who traveled on the aircraft in 2014 while attending a meeting in Washington, D.C. At the time, Haaland was running for lieutenant governor as part of then–New Mexico Attorney General Gary King’s campaign.

Deb Haaland's Buffoonery

Here's a great example of Democrat gubernatorial nominee of New Mexico Deb Haaland stupidity.

This is from a senate hearing exchange between her an Sen. Josh Hawley when she was Biden's secretary of the Interior.

Best Trump Impersonator I've Seen (So Far)

This fellow has to be the best impersonator of President Trump I've seen. Well, so far.

Unlike liberals, we conservatives don't mind having our leaders having fun poked at. We have a sense of humor, unlike them.

Keeping Political Polar Opposite Friends

Above, I found out recently that Jessica Tseang is opposite politically
to me. We haven't ever discussed politics and I have plans to do so.

In this polarized era where conservatives and liberals are practically at each other's throats over this election campaign and politics in general, one wonders how friends who are polar opposites politically can remain friends.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, of course.

One can look back at actors James Stewart and Henry Fonda. Stewart was a conservative and Fonda a liberal. They both came from the same era of movies and were great friends, yet were very opposite politically. They managed to remain friends over the decades until death took them.

How did they manage to accomplish this?

It was simple. They did not discuss politics at all. Each knew where the other stood but did not raise the subject of politics.

I have some left-leaning friends. We manage to remain so because we don't discuss politics. We confine our conversations strictly to subjects that are shared interests such as movies, ECV, Godzilla, comic books, travel, etc.

So if one wants to keep the peace with friends who don't share one's views politically, just don't discuss politics.

2024 RNC Ends On High Note

Above, Donald Trump delivering his acceptance speech. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

The 2024 Republican National Convention is now in the history books.

By all appearances, it was the best-run convention in years, probably dating back to the Reagan conventions (I should know, I attended them as part of the California Delegation). It was well organized and all of the speakers kept to the script.

Former President Trump's acceptance speech was probably one of the longest speeches ever, around 90 minutes, but it was never dull.

Above, the Trumps and the Vances following Trump's acceptance speech. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Trump recounted the shooting of July 13 and paid tribute to Cory Comperatore, whose firefighting jacket and helmet were on display on the stage. He kept to his themes of making America great again. He only said Biden's name once.

There's no way the Democrats can put on a convention comparable to the GOP's. They don't even know who they are going to nominate. As days pass, it appears more likely the Joe Biden will withdraw, perhaps this weekend.

The Debate: First Impressions

Last night, I caught the presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and His Fraudulency Joe Bided that was sponsored by CNN. I watched it on New Mexico PBS.

Surprisingly, I thought the moderators (Dana Bash and Jake Tapper) were pretty even-handed. I didn't see anything to complain about.

The answers by both men were their standard campaign talking points. Both dished out the attacks pretty evenly.

But I did notice that when Biden came on stage, he was walking very feebly, almost shuffling. Trump was his usual robust self.

Oddly, the most heated exchange (most all were heated) was their talking about golf handicaps. It got pretty silly. Trump jumped in with, "Let's not get childish." Biden seemed to freeze on a question on Medicare.

Biden performed better than I expected but he still had trouble putting his thoughts together. Trump performed to expectations. Trump should have made a better final statement.

That's my initial impression of the debate.

Piñon PAC Launched

Regular readers of this blog know that Piñon Post articles are often cited.

I received an email from them this morning announcing the formation of Piñon PAC (Political Action Committee).

In the email, they wrote:

We are excited to announce that today, the Piñon Post — New Mexico’s largest online conservative news publication — is launching a new independent initiative, the Piñon PAC, to help elect conservative candidates in New Mexico!

Our committee, led by our editor and founder, State Rep. John Block (R-Alamogordo), hopes to make a major difference in New Mexico elections by promoting the most conservative, America First candidates for elected office and defeating Radical Leftists.

“We realize that our state is not going to move forward without real action, and that’s why we have decided to launch Piñon PAC to help true conservative candidates who have proven to be rock-solid FIGHTERS. From local to federal races, the Piñon PAC will work to promote the true values that are being attacked by the radical leftist Santa Fe machine,” said Rep. Block.

Help be a founding donor of the Piñon PAC by chipping in today to our people-powered grassroots movement that will spread across New Mexico!

Everyone who contributes $65 or more today will receive an official Piñon PAC founding member card in the mail and be a certified founding member!

To stop the Radical Left, we need every single patriot reading this to chip in today in time for the 2024 primary election, which is less than two short months away!

Every single dollar you donate will go toward getting conservatives elected up and down the ballot in New Mexico.

Together, we will save our state. Thank you for joining us in reporting on what is going on in New Mexico and taking direct action to elect conservatives who will serve our state well by funding the Piñon PAC!

All the best,

Your friends at the Piñon Post

RPNM 2024 Legislative Reception & Dinner

I decided to attend. I haven't been to Santa Fe since the gun rally that took place at the Capitol in January 2020. It should be interesting!
