Gabe Vasquez and The Big Lie Strategy

The Big Lie.

That's a technique that despots use against their opponents. If they tell a lie often enough and loud enough, then people will start to believe the lie to be true.

Such is the case with hardcore leftist Rep. Gabe Vasquez. Last week, he lied that his opponent, ex-Rep. Yvette Herrell was against in vitro fertilization, which is not true and was so pointed out.

However, that hasn't stopped Vasquez from doubling down with the lie.

From the Piñon Post: 

Vasquez wrote in the melodramatic X post last week, “Extremist Yvette Herrell is in lockstep with Alabama’s Supreme Court. Republicans are taking away women’s reproductive healthcare rights & now they’re taking away the opportunity for loving couples to start a family. This is shameful & Herrell’s voting record is clear. Enough.” 

Then in a recent fundraising email ironically titled “Hypocrites,” Vasquez’s team lied again, writing, “The Alabama Supreme Court just ruled on restricting access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. Gabe’s extremist opponent, Yvette Herrell, has a voting record that proves she would support measures just like this one and MORE at the national level.” 

However, Congresswoman Herrell is not against IVF. National Republican Congressional Committee spokeswoman Delanie Bomar posted that “this is a blatant lie,” sharing an article from Axios that noted the former congresswoman’s position.

“Former Reps. Mayra Flores (R-Texas) and Yvette Herrell (R-N.M.), who are running for their old seats, said in statements to Axios that they support access to IVF,” read the article.

That's not stopping Vasquez or his hard-Left backers from continuing to lie. This is an old story when it comes to socialists and communists like Vasquez. 

Back in 1981, President Ronald Reagan pointed this out about the Soviet Union:

Now, as long as they do that and as long as they, at the same time, have openly and publicly declared that the only morality they recognize is what will further their cause, meaning they reserve unto themselves the right to commit any crime, to lie, to cheat, in order to attain that, and that is moral, not immoral, and we operate on a different set of standards, I think when you do business with them, even at a detente, you keep that in mind.

Vasquez and his campaign are just following the usual communist playbook about reserving for themselves the right to lie and cheat to further their cause. Shameless.

I just spotted this Twitter tweet from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.:

He is 69 (a month older than I) and he "has a condition called spasmodic dysphonia, a specific form of an involuntary movement disorder called dystonia that affects only the voice box." (Source: ABC News.)

In reading his Twitter postings for some time, I get the impression that he is not quite a doctrinaire liberal as many as his family are. He seems to march to his own drummer. Things could get interesting.

The worst ever mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, has lost re-election. It is plainly obvious that the people of Chicago are fed up with her.

Lori Lightfoot, the first Black woman and the first openly gay person ever to serve as mayor of Chicago, on Tuesday became a one-term mayor.

With nearly 99% of the precincts reporting, the mayor who guided Chicago through the pandemic finished third in Tuesday’s election with 17.06% of the vote behind former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas, who won 33.77 %, and Cook County Commissioner and Chicago Teachers Union organizer Brandon Johnson, who wound up with 20.29%.

Vallas, 69, and Johnson, 46, will face off five weeks from now in the April 4 runoff to decide who will become the 57th mayor of Chicago.

Democrat Plans To Take Oath On Superman Comic Book

Journalist Matt Laslo broke the news in a tweet with by sharing a photo of a vintage superman comic book with the caption “a member of the House of Representatives is taking their oath on a classic Superman comic book”

Lujan Grisham's "Shady" Campaign Finance Report

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham's campaign filed its campaign finance report on April 11. The ethically-challenged governor's campaign report has already raised some eyebrows. 

The Piñon Post has reported some of the more questionable contributions and expenditures, calling the whole report "shady". Indeed, the corrupt political machine bosses of Tammany Hall would be envious.

The article starts off with:

Candidates recently filed their financial disclosures on April 11 for the first reporting period of the year. While many candidates raked in loads of contributions, scandal-ridden alleged serial groper Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham led the pack by raising over $2.6 million. 

Lujan Grisham is well-known for her lavish spending, such as on hair and makeup and $150,000 in payments to a sexual assault accuser — all being funded by the Governor’s campaign donors. But there were many expenditures in Lujan Grisham’s financial disclosure statement raising eyebrows.

Despite being put on notice for spending thousands on hair and makeup services provided by her daughter, Erin Grisham, Lujan Grisham spent another $400 on these services on February 12, 2022.

Beto O'Rourke Backtracks On Gun Confiscation Vow

Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O'Rourke is backtracking on his vow to confiscate certain types of guns. He's now just saying this as he wants to be governor of Texas.

I wouldn't trust him even if the heavens opened up and a voice comes out of the clouds and says he's telling the truth.

The Washington Examiner reported:

Former presidential and U.S. Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke just isn’t very good at the whole politics thing.

A skilled politician would know how to make his flip-flops less obvious.

O’Rourke, who is running for governor in Texas, said this week he has no intention of confiscating certain types of firearms from lawful gun owners.

“I’m not interested in taking anything from anyone,” the Democratic candidate said this week during a campaign stop in Tyler, Texas. “What I want to make sure that we do is defend the Second Amendment.”

He added, “I want to make sure that we protect our fellow Texans far better than we’re doing right now. And that we listen to law enforcement, which Greg Abbott refused to do. He turned his back on them when he signed that permitless carry bill that endangers the lives of law enforcement in a state that’s seen more cops and sheriff’s deputies gunned down than in any other.”

In 2020, during the Democratic presidential primary, O’Rourke asserted unequivocally that, if given the chance and the authority, he would absolutely confiscate AR-15-style firearms.

“Hell yes,” an overconfident O’Rourke said to thunderous applause. “We’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47. We’re not going to allow it to be used against our fellow Americans anymore.”

He kept up the refrain throughout his short-lived presidential candidacy.

Sen. Ben Ray Lujan Suffers Stroke

Karma being what it is, I am not one who would wish ill on anyone, not even a member of the opposite party.

The Associated Press reported:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic Sen. Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico suffers stroke, expected to make 'full recovery,' office says.

According to CBS News:

Senator Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico is recovering in a hospital after experiencing a stroke, according to his office. 

Luján, 49, underwent decompressive surgery to ease swelling after he was found to have suffered a stroke in his cerebellum that affected his balance, his chief of staff Carlos Sanchez said. Luján had checked himself into Christus St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Santa Fe after he felt dizzy and fatigued Thursday morning, and then was transferred to UNM Hospital in Albuquerque for further evaluation. 

At 49, that seems awfully young to have a stroke. Perhaps some lifestyle and diet changes are in order.

Best wishes to Sen. Lujan for a speedy recovery.

Overnight Gun Confiscation Begins In Colorado

Before radical liberals and leftists migrated into the state, Colorado was a safe haven for gun owners.

Now that Democrats have the state in their control, they're coming for people's guns and trampling over everyone's Second Amendment rights.

Here's the latest from The Colorado Herald: 

On Tuesday night, the Senate State Veterans & Military Affairs Committee began hearing HB21-1299 st 10:00pm. This bill creates an Office of Gun Violence Prevention, which will serve as a “public outreach” program. HB21-1298 will also be heard, which drastically expands criminal charges which may prohibit firearms transfers.

The list of misdemeanor crimes for which a person in Colorado, as per HB21-1298, may be denied a firearm are restrictive. Harassment makes the list, which is a very broad crime for which to deny someone’s Constitutional rights.

Also on the list is cruelty to animals. While an abhorrent act, surely the Framers never intended that a man who abused his sheep would lose his right to bear arms. House Bill 21-1298: “Expand Firearm Transfer Background Check Requirements” is a thinly-veiled attempt by the State of Colorado’s legislators to take more guns out of circulation by dramatically restricting who can legally buy and own them.

It’s no secret that blue state, local governments and the federal government are coming for your guns. This has been in the works since before Biden was ever “elected.”

You can bet that if these bills pass, there will be plenty of lawsuits.

Rep. Lujan Took In $300K In PAC Money Before "Pledge" Not To

Several Democrat politicians have taken a "pledge" to not take campaign contributions from corporate political action committees (PACs), but some of them took in plenty of it before taking the "pledge".

This includes Rep. Ben Ray Lujan, who is currently running for a New Mexico U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Tom Udall.

According to Roll Call:

In raising more than $2 million last year, Rep. Cindy Axne didn’t take a dime from any PAC designated as linked to a “corporation” by the Federal Election Commission. Yet her campaign is still stocked with contributions from groups that represent corporate and business interests on Capitol Hill. 

And she’s not alone. The freshman Democrat, who is in a Toss-up race in an Iowa district President Donald Trump carried in 2016, is one of more than 50 sitting lawmakers who have taken a pledge not to accept direct donations from the political action committees of corporations. 

The pledge has led to growing concerns among corporate PAC leaders about what it means for their future. 

Yet a review of contribution records by CQ Roll Call found the political money of business interests — to the tune of $2.6 million last year alone — continued to find a way to most of the lawmakers who have taken the pledge. 

New Mexico Rep. Ben Ray Luján, another Democrat seeking a Senate seat, collected about $300,000 in corporate and association PAC money, most of it before he took his pledge.

After taking the pledge, did Lujan return the $300,000 corporate and association PAC money? I doubt it.

Democratic Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson asserted that people who mock members of Congress online should face prosecution. 

"Those people who are online making fun of members of Congress are a disgrace, and there is no need for anyone to think that is unacceptable [sic]," Wilson said during comments made Tuesday outside of the Homestead Temporary Shelter for Unaccompanied Children in Homestead, Florida. 

"We're gonna shut them down and work with whoever it is to shut them down, and they should be prosecuted," she continued. "You cannot intimidate members of Congress, frighten members of Congress. It is against the law, and it's a shame in this United States of America.

Well, if the Congresswoman doesn't want to be mocked, then she shouldn't be dressing like a rodeo clown.

"Catty Kamala" Harris

California Senator Kamala Harris is a known left-wing wacko who "slept her way to the top" (she had an affair with married ex-San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown). 

She's also a catty woman who tried to get some deputy district attorneys fired over a training convention she attended.

According to one of the targets of "Catty Kamala":

We were putting on a training convention for a closed session of Department of Mental Health and the groups above that, with a very informal agenda and lots of questions by the attendees.   

It was a relatively light-hearted situation and when a smiling older man with white hair and good command presence showed up very late and was looking in to see if we were the right group he was supposed to be with, I looked up and asked with a big grin, "The hooker convention?"  He burst into laughter and said yes, that would be it.   

Everyone else in the room laughed, except for one person - Kamala Harris, who was then D.A. [of San Francisco].   

She also didn't like my partner's comments on the realities of mental health either, and complained of both of us to our office. 

We were backed up by people WAY above Kamala's pay grade at that time. The man I had made that [hooker's convention] comment to was the head judge of L.A. Superior Courts and he found us delightful, as did everyone else there, and Kamala was up against a stone wall trying to get us in huge trouble for that training.  I had figured pretty much correctly who the man was, and knew he would know it was anything but a hooker convention.  He was a great sport and the other people kept us two hours longer than we were supposed to be there, asking questions and invited us to help change the California laws.  I recall Kamala flying out of there in a snit.   

Everyone else took it in the spirit intended.  She was such a catty bitch about how she went on the attack, that she made a lot of people very unhappy with her over that incident.

Now she wants to run for president in 2020. Jeez!

My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.” 

Here’s my answer: We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. 

We tried statesmanship. 

Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain? 

We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? 

And the results were always the same. This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob. 

I don’t find anything “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper” about Barack Obama’s lying about what went down on the streets of Ferguson in order to ramp up racial hatreds because racial hatreds serve the Democratic Party. 

I don’t see anything “dignified” in lying about the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover your tracks. 

I don’t see anything “statesman-like” in weaponizing the IRS to be used to destroy your political opponents and any dissent. 

Yes, Obama was “articulate” and “polished” but in no way was he in the least bit “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper.” 

The Left has been engaged in a war against America since the rise of the Children of the ‘60s. To them, it has been an all-out war where nothing is held sacred and nothing is seen as beyond the pale.. It has been a war they’ve fought with violence, the threat of violence, demagoguery and lies from day one – the violent take-over of the universities – till today. 

The problem is that, through these years, the Left has been the only side fighting this war. While the Left has been taking a knife to anyone who stands in their way, the Right has continued to act with dignity, collegiality and propriety. 

With Donald Trump, this all has come to an end. Donald Trump is America ’s first wartime president in the Culture War. 

During wartime, things like “dignity” and “collegiality” simply aren’t the most essential qualities one looks for in their warriors. Ulysses Grant was a drunk whose behavior in peacetime might well have seen him drummed out of the Army for conduct unbecoming.
Had Abraham Lincoln applied the peacetime rules of propriety and booted Grant, the Democrats might well still be holding their slaves today. 

Lincoln rightly recognized that, “I cannot spare this man. He fights.” 

General George Patton was a vulgar-talking…. In peacetime, this might have seen him stripped of rank. But, had Franklin Roosevelt applied the normal rules of decorum then, Hitler and the Socialists would barely be five decades into their thousand-year Reich. 

Trump is fighting. And what’s particularly delicious is that, like Patton standing over the battlefield as his tanks obliterated Rommel’s, he’s shouting, “You magnificent bastards, I read your book!” 

That is just the icing on the cake, but it’s wonderful to see that not only is Trump fighting, he’s defeating the Left using their own tactics. That book is Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – a book so essential to the Liberals’ war against America that it is and was the playbook for the entire Obama administration and the subject of Hillary Clinton’s senior thesis. 

It is a book of such pure evil, that, just as the rest of us would dedicate our book to those we most love or those to whom we are most indebted, Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer. 

Trump’s tweets may seem rash and unconsidered but, in reality, he is doing exactly what Alinsky suggested his followers do. First, instead of going after “the fake media” — and they are so fake that they have literally gotten every single significant story of the past 60 years not just wrong, but diametrically opposed to the truth, from the Tet Offensive to Benghazi, to what really happened on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri — Trump isolated CNN.. He made it personal. 

Then, just as Alinsky suggests, he employs ridicule which Alinsky described as “the most powerful weapon of all.”... Most importantly, Trump’s tweets have put CNN in an untenable and unwinnable position. ... They need to respond. 

This leaves them with only two choices. They can either “go high” (as Hillary would disingenuously declare of herself and the fake news would disingenuously report as the truth) and begin to honestly and accurately report the news or they can double-down on their usual tactics and hope to defeat Trump with twice their usual hysteria and 

demagoguery. The problem for CNN (et al.) with the former is that, if they were to start honestly reporting the news, that would be the end of the Democratic Party they serve. It is nothing but the incessant use of fake news (read: propaganda) that keeps the Left alive. 

Imagine, for example, if CNN had honestly and accurately reported then-candidate Barack Obama’s close ties to foreign terrorists (Rashid Khalidi), domestic terrorists (William Ayers & Bernardine Dohrn), the mafia (Tony Rezko) or the true evils of his spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright’s church. 

Imagine if they had honestly and accurately conveyed the evils of the Obama administration’s weaponizing of the IRS to be used against their political opponents or his running of guns to the Mexican cartels or the truth about the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the Obama administration’s cover-up. 

So, to my friends on the Left — and the #NeverTrumpers as well — do I wish we lived in a time when our president could be “collegial” and “dignified” and “proper”? Of course I do. 

These aren’t those times. This is war. And it’s a war that the Left has been fighting without opposition for the past 50 years. 

So, say anything you want about this president - I get it - he can be vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at times. I don’t care. I can’t spare this man. He fights for America!
