With the exception of my 2015 trip to Japan, there was at least one day of rain during each of my trips. (It did rain in Tokyo during my 2015 trip, but that ended just before my arrival by shinkansen from Osaka.)
But, if one is in Tokyo and the city is hit by a rainstorm, Tokyo Cheapo has some suggestions for things to do while it rains.
