It was a marked difference after our hour-long gathering at Denny's in the Flying J this morning.
About an inch deep snow was on the ground when Larry Lucier and I went to the Flying J and about 80% of it was gone an hour later.

Much of the snowmelt was due to the high winds along with the sun. It thawed enough for me to hop into the Mustang and move it into the garage.

The winds were very gusty when I stepped outside and took a few photos. (Never let a good photo opportunity go to waste.)
Bo, my neighbor across the street, is on his way back to Jamestown after spending the last five months down in Florida in his fifth wheel trailer. He's now in Texas, where he spent the night in the Dallas area due to high winds (I heard they were around 100 mph). He and his wife Betty should be back Friday or Saturday. That was a fast five months. It seems like he just left. In the meantime, Larry Lucier had been housesitting Bo's house.
The NM highway department was supposed to resume work on the bridge over Interstate 40 and the on and off ramps two days ago, but the weather delayed that.

Everyone at Denny's agreed that this was one heck of a storm. The snowfall wasn't a lot, but the winds were almost unbearable.
