En Route To Key West and Cuba

Right now, we're somewhere between Fort Lauderdale and Key West, Florida aboard the Majesty of the Seas. According to my phone, we're near the Barrier Reef.

Mitch Geriminsky and I boarded the ship in Fort Lauderdale. A couple of lady friends of Mitch's are in a stateroom next to ours. We have a fairly decent view from our stateroom, the only obstruction is a lifeboat davit.

We were able to board the ship around 11:00 yesterday morning, but the ship actually left port around 4:00.

Since I am an early riser, I was up at 5:00 this morning and had some coffee and a cigar and enjoyed the view. I was told there were to be meteor showers last night, but it was too cloudy to see any.

Last night's dinner was excellent. However, that put me into a major "food coma" and I ended up retiring at about 8:30 and slept to 5:00. I only had four hours of sleep the night before.

We should be in Key West tomorrow. We'll be roaming around the town on a tour.
