The latest issue of the National Rifle Association's American Rifleman (cover date, February 2020) magazine arrived in the mailbox today and while I was thumbing through it, several things caught my immediate attention.
First, was a column by NRA President Carolyn D. Meadows about President Trump is the latest U.S. president to be a member of the NRA. There were eight presidents who had memberships in the NRA.
NRA member presidents:
Ulysees S. Grant (the NRA was founded in 1871, by the way), Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Richard M. Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Donald J. Trump.
Interesting.
The second item was a two-page ad for the NRA's 2020 Annual Meetings & Exhibits. It will be held April 16-19 in Nashville, Tennessee at the Music City Center. I am very much tempted to attend.
Lastly, there's an article on Democrat billionaire anti-Second Amendment candidate Michael Bloomberg's bankrolling of leftists in several states.
