Got Out of The House

Above, after coming back from the Flying J. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Thanks to above-freezing temperatures (right now, it's 37° outside), I went down to the post office at the Flying J to check my mail and the roads in the community were about 85% thawed. So there was no ice on the roads to be concerned about.

Just in case, I did head down to the Flying J in the Jeep (better tire traction).

The snow on the south-facing mesas is almost gone already.

As it happened, I saw that our coffee group was in Denny's today after all. So I joined them and had a good time.

We talked to the manager of Denny's and she said the roads on I-40 were icy early this morning and there was a bad accident near mileposts 105-107, which is in-between Dancing Eagle and Sky City Casinos.

As for our area, while it is windy and chilly out, it's manageable for anything I may do around the house or garage. The sun is out with a few clouds blowing by.

This was probably a warmer storm as much of the tropical air mass originated from the south in Mexico. The eastern part of the state got hit harder than we did in the northwest portion.
