Buddy and Christmas

Above, Buddy during his carrot feeding this morning. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Before it gets hot later (around 90°), I went out with the Jeep to feed carrots to Buddy (the next-door neighbor's horse) and Christmas.

It was nice out after yesterday's rain and the ground was still moist and not at all dusty as it was before.

Buddy had been gone for several months for training and it seems to have paid off. He actually came over to me and took a carrot from my hand. He was leery at first. This was the first time he had done this. Christmas does it all the time as she knows the drill.

Buddy had some scratches on his face, but they seem to be healing up. The dust mixed with the rain made him a bit dirty. He could use a bath.

It is good to see him back.
