Dinner Group Tonight

For the first time since early this year (February, I think), our dinner group will be heading to historian Martin Link's for dinner tonight. The pandemic put a stop to that during the past months.

My assignment was to provide beer for the gathering, so I got a brand that is appropriate for the occasion (thankfully, it's a good beer).

Public Service Announcement

There are, apparently, some stupid people out there.

About 20 minutes ago, Rush Limbaugh read an email from someone who asked, "Can you get the coronavirus from beer?"

As a "public service announcement", Rush said, "No. You can't get the coronavirus from beer."

So...

To be honest, it is hard to tell if this is a joke or if the woman in this video was serious:





It has to be a joke since it was Men's Humor who posted it. But you never know these days.

Roswell Trademarks New Logo

The city of Roswell, New Mexico, famous for the 1947 UFO crash (actually, the crash occurred closer to the town of Corona), has a new logo and the city has it trademarked.

KRQE reported:

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - The city of Roswell now has exclusive rights to its new logo.  

The city secured a trademark on the green "R" with a flying saucer, protecting it from unauthorized use.

The trademark is good for ten years.

Tom's Farms

While on the way down to Wildomar for my aunt's birthday pary, I found that I was starved and spotted a Carl's Jr. off of Temescal Canyon Road off of Interstate 15 in Corona.

I exited with the intent of going there, but the road configuration was such that I had to go down the road so I could turn around. As I was doing so, I spotted Tom's Farms, a business with restaurants, a farmer's market, home furnishings store, candy shop, wine & cheese (and beer) shop, a steam train, pony rides and more.

I went into the wine and cheese store as I saw a sign that there was a snack bar inside. I looked over the menu and decided on getting a French dip sandwich. It was good.

After eating the sandwich, I wandered into the home store. They had lot of nice things inside along with Halloween and Christmas decorations for sale.

After browsing the home store, I then went across the parking lot to the candy store. There was plenty inside that was tempting, but I resisted. Next to it was the farmer's market. I took a quick peek inside.

At the other end of the business, I noticed that canopies were set up for a flea market. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to go peruse it.

Tom's Farms is a nice place for a break and shopping.
