The 20 Best Lever-Action Rifles That Aren’t the Winchester 94

Regular readers know that I am a huge fan of the Winchester 94. I was lucky enough to find a pre-64 Winchester 94 made in 1962 that was in great shape. 

The Winchester 94 isn't the only lever-action rifle that people should buy. There are others that The Avid Outdoorsman recommends, 20 of them.

That is the topic of a new article and it begins with:

Walk into any gun shop and say “lever gun,” and you’ll watch half the room picture the same rifle. I get it. It earned that spot. But if you hunt in thick timber, keep a rifle behind a truck seat, or just like a slick action and a simple sight picture, there are a lot of lever-actions that deserve daylight without living in that one rifle’s shadow.
