Back in 2004, the first G-TOUR to Japan took place. It was sponsored by G-FAN magazine. 60 Godzilla/Daikaiju Eiga fans went on the tour.

One of the stops (an overnighter) was Hakone. The stop included Mount Fuji, Lake Ashi and a fireworks show at Lake Kawaguchi.

Following a summer's night of fireworks at Lake Kawaguchi, the 2004 G-TOUR spent the night at a hotel in Hakone and did a little touring of the area.

Part of our route out of the Hakone area included a boat ride on Lake Ashi. Lake Ashi was featured in the 1967 movie, Gappa: The Triphibian Monster.
