New Mexico Democrats Push Vote For 16-Year-Olds, Felons

You can always tell when the Democrats are desperate in elections. If election fraud through mail-in voting and ballot harvesting aren't enough to steal an election, they'll try something else.

In New Mexico, Gov. "Malevolent Michelle" Lujan Grisham is leading the charge to allow 16-year-olds and convicted felons to vote as well as creating straight party-line voting.

KFOX 14 reported:

SANTA FE, N.M. (TND) — New Mexico Democrats are pushing for major changes to the state's voting laws, including lowering the voting age to 16 for local elections, creating straight party-line voting on ballots and allowing convicted felons to vote.

The Democratic Governor of New Mexico Michelle Lujan Grisham, who is up for reelection in 2022, is leading the charge to pass the sweeping election and voter reforms.

NM Governor Shutting Down State For 2 Weeks

She's back!

Gov. "Malevolent Michelle" Lujan is back and is targeting (again) restaurants and mom & pop businesses while, at the same time, allowing big-box retailers to remain open.

KFOX14 reported:

SANTA FE, NM (KFOX14/CBS4) — The state of New Mexico will be shutdown starting Monday, November 16 for two weeks, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced.

The statewide public health restrictions were announced Friday.

Grisham and state health officials are issuing a statewide order closing in-person services for all non-essential activities in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus and to stop the strain on hospitals and health care providers.

The heightened restrictions statewide are effective through Monday, Nov. 30.

New Mexicans are instructed to stay at home except for only those trips that are essential to health, safety and welfare – such as for food and water, emergency medical care, to obtain a flu shot or to obtain a test for COVID-19.

Essential businesses – such as grocery stores, pharmacies, shelters, child care facilities, gas stations, infrastructure operations and others – must minimize operations and in-person staffing to the greatest extent possible but may remain open for limited essential in-person activities. A complete list of categories of businesses defined as essential is included in the public health order and at the bottom of this news release.

Food and drink establishments may provide curbside pickup and delivery services; on-site dining is prohibited.

Grisham's "one size fits all" approach didn't work before and drove many businesses out-of-business. Now she's back at it again.  

Representative Gregg Schmedes had this reaction:

I disagree with what our governor said today. I support Focused Protection of the vulnerable, not lockdowns. Lockdowns are making people sick, leaving them more susceptible to Covid. If there's a time for overall wellness of our people, it's Now. People should be getting out and getting exercise and eating healthy. Our governor's policies of fear are like throwing salt on a wound, only leading to more pain and suffering.

Grisham didn't stop at businesses. She also targeted Thanksgiving and (can you believe it?), funerals.

Regarding Thanksgiving and Funerals, Carrie Griffis Hobbs posted on Facebook:

No gatherings in groups more than 5, no celebrations, no parties, no one at your home that does not live there, and on and on. 

Per Governor Michelle Luján Grisham, “If you need to say goodbye to a family member that is not going to make it, you can do that using FaceTime”

The general consensus is that Grisham's a cold-hearted wretch!

Indoor Dining To Resume Saturday

The governor's health order is due to expire Friday, so she is going to hold a news conference tomorrow to announce a new, but modified, health order that will take effect Saturday in New Mexico.

According to KFOX:

The state’s current public health orders expire on Friday, following which the following changes, among others, will be implemented:

• Houses of worship may operate at 40 percent of maximum occupancy of any enclosed building, an increase from 25 percent, in accordance with COVID-Safe Practices. Houses of worship may, as before, conduct services outdoors or provide services through audiovisual means.
• Food and drink establishments (including restaurants, breweries, wineries, distillers, cafes, coffee shops or other similar establishments) may provide indoor dining service at 25 percent of maximum occupancy, in accordance with COVID-Safe Practices.
• Food and drink establishments may continue to provide outdoor dining options, carryout and delivery services, in accordance with COVID-Safe Practices. Tables – inside or outside – must be spaced at least six feet apart, and no more than six patrons are permitted at a single table.

Of course, this really isn't enough as many restaurants and other businesses are permanently closing thanks to the governor's Draconian health orders.

Lujan Grisham Extends Gallup Lockdown To May 10

Well, this certainly didn't come as a surprise. The only "surprise" is that it wasn't announced earlier.

According to KFOX14:

SANTA FE, NM (KFOX14/CBS4) — New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will extend a modified emergency declaration requested by the mayor of Gallup through noon on Sunday, May 10, as the city continues to work toward containing the spread of COVID-19. 

Under the extended order, businesses will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., only two people may travel together in a car and Gallup residents should remain at home except for emergency outings. 

Roads into Gallup will remain closed for non-residents until 8 p.m. Friday, according to the governor's office.

Unless she is stopped by a court action, she will likely keep extending her Gallup "emergency" lockdown until who-knows-when.
