Rainy, Windy and 40°

Above, outside just minutes ago. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

We have a bit of a weather oddity here in Jamestown, New Mexico.

Right now, it is windy and rainy outside. But the odd part is: it's 40° outside!

Generally, the temperature outside at this time is around 20-30°. This may mean that the storm we have now is a warmer one than what we usually get.

Here's today's and tomorrow's forecast by the National Weather Service:

Today
Scattered showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Tonight
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Monday
Isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Monday Night
A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 11pm, then a slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
