Cibola County Sheriff Tony Mace, who is also Chairman of the New Mexico Sheriffs' Association, posted this reaction to the New Mexico State Senate's passage of SB5 along with the image below:
Emergency Extreme risk protection order also known as the red flag bill made it through the Senate on a 20 to 22 vote . We fought a good fight however. it’s very clear that our elected officials do not give a damn about the United States or New Mexico constitution only money emotion and a agenda driven by a communist governor.. and democratic controlled legislature . another perfect example of elections have consequences we truly need to be careful who we elect in the office that’s how we end up with stuff like this.
