Sunny, But Cold

Above, the view from about a quarter mile from the top of Whispering Cedars Road. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Today was a sunny day, although on the cold side.

The highest the temperature got was around 39-40° in Jamestown. It was comfortable enough to drive the Jeep around. I kept on the paved roads as I just washed the Jeep over the weekend and washed off the caked mud from the wheel wells, bumpers and other areas.

The snow that is on the ground is rapidly disappearing when exposed to direct sunlight.

The weather for the next few days will be roughly the same with the next chance for snow comes Sunday night.

The forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 13. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest after midnight.
Thursday
Sunny, with a high near 41. West wind around 5 mph.
Thursday Night
Clear, with a low around 15. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Friday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 49. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
Friday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 45.
