Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 50° in Jamestown, New Mexico.

All that is forecast to change tonight as a Winter Storm Watch will go into effect tomorrow afternoon.

TUESDAY NIGHT...

.A passing disturbance and cold front will combine to bring light
snow to portions of western and central New Mexico later tonight
through Monday morning before a brief break in the weather Monday
afternoon. Monday night through Tuesday night, a significant
winter storm is appearing likely for northern and central New
Mexico. Moderate to heavy snowfall, strong and gusty winds and
colder temperatures will create travel impacts region wide.

TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 8
  inches, except 8 to 14 inches above 7500 feet. Locally higher
  amounts possible. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...All of northern and central New Mexico.

* WHEN...From late Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible due to
  snow packed and icy roadways. Blowing snow may significantly
  reduce visibility.
