RV sales are surging right now.
It must be true. A little while ago, I went down to the Flying J to check my mail and I saw two Winnebago Vita Class C diesel motorhomes with transporter markings in the parking lot. They are in transit to a dealer somewhere.
Fox Business has an article on the surge in RV sales as the coronavirus upends people's summer travel plans.
They wrote:
While the U.S. economy sinks into its first recession in more than a decade due to the coronavirus pandemic, RV sales are thriving.
Across the nation, Americans are seeking to escape the confines of their homes and fulfill their desires to travel. However, they must do so while abiding by social distancing guidelines meant to curb the spread of the virus.
RVs, which can easily provide temporary housing for families to self-isolate, are become the go-to option with sales outperforming industry expectations at the start of the year, according to LCI Industries' CEO Jason Lippert.The nice thing about owning one's own RV, one doesn't have to contend with poorly-cleaned hotel rooms (just bring in a blacklight to see the DNA prior guests left behind). At least in your own RV, the DNA inside is your own.
