Unless it is extended (hopefully not), the lockdown of the city of Gallup (population around 21,000) is set to expire at noon today.
According to KOB 4:
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Gallup’s lockdown is set to expire Sunday at noon, but city officials have already started letting visitors back in.
While some restrictions are lifted, coronavirus continues to spread in northwest New Mexico.
On Saturday, health officials announced 48 new cases and 4 more deaths in McKinley County.
The surge in cases led city officials to lockdown the city of Gallup, which borders the Navajo Nation.
Fortunately, we're around 19 miles east of Gallup and, as far as I know, we have had no cases of coronavirus in Jamestown.
I have been in Gallup twice since the lockdown started.
